The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders played great on the defensive end of the floor as they picked up a close win over Woodbine on Tuesday. The Crusaders had a slow start on offense in the first quarter, but they were able to jump out to a 6-0 lead. CRB would lead 9-4 going to the second quarter. Coon Rapids-Bayard was able to grow their lead in the second quarter. The Crusaders would grow their lead to double digits at 16-6 during the quarter. Woodbine would go on a run to end the second quarter. CRB would lead 21-14 at the half.
Coming out of the locker rooms, the Crusaders would struggle on offense as they went scoreless in the quarter for the first three minutes. Aubrey Hofbauer and Ashtyn Klocke were able to knock down some big threes in the quarter to help CRB keep their lead. The Crusaders would lead 32-26 going to the fourth quarter. Woodbine was able to cut the CRB lead to one late in the fourth quarter. Anna Hart was fouled with just under six seconds left and connected on both free throws as the Crusaders would go on to win 51-48.
Aubrey Hofbauer led CRB in scoring with 14 points. Ashtyn Klocke recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Anna Hart shared the basketball well, recording six assists and a team-high six steals. With the win, CRB moves to 14-3 and 11-1 in the Rolling Valley Conference. The Crusaders are back in action on Thursday against ACGC.

Carroll started the game well, getting 4 points from Olivia Rowedder and a buzzer beating three from Katelyn Aden, taking a 13-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. They stretched the lead in the 2nd quarter with Ali Kock hitting a buzzer beating three, finishing the half with 11 points. The Tigers used an 13-2 run to close out the half after Bondurant Farrar had cut the deficit to 15-14. Katelyn Aden contributed 7 points and Olivia Rowedder had 6 points at half. Carroll led 28-16.
The Carroll defense has been strong during their winning streak and it stayed sharp on Tuesday, holding Bondurant Farrar to six points in the 3rd as Carroll took a 37-22 lead. The Tigers kept the pace down and went on to win their sixth straight, winning 47-34.
Ali Kock had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals to lead the Tigers. Olivia Rowedder had 12 points and 5 rebounds while Katelyn Aden added 9 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Sophia Tidgren grabbed 6 rebounds and blocked 3 shots. Analia Ayala had 4 steals with 5 points.
Carroll moves to 14-4 overall and 9-4 in the Raccoon River Conference. They host Ballard on Friday.

The Titans built an 18-2 lead by the end of the 1st quarter before blowing the game open to start the 2nd quarter. South Central Calhoun outscored SE Valley 34-7 in the 2nd quarter, leading 52-9 at half.
Bre Patterson had a team high 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals while Blair Schleisman had 21 points, 6 assists and 3 steals to lead the Titans. Adlen Wheelock had 15 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Macie Dorman nearly had a triple-double, scoring 10 points with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Ailey Korleski had 9 points and 3 steals and Sadie Wheelock added 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals.
The win moves them to 8-10 overall as they prepare to host Manson NW Webster at home on Friday.

IKM-Manning had the game slip away in the 4th quarter on the road on Tuesday, getting outscored 21-7 in the 4th. Missouri Valley battled back, hitting free throws, going 19-35 from the line to outscore the Wolves by 11 at the line. IKM-Manning held a small lead at half, up 26-25 but controlled the 3rd quarter. The Wolves outscored the Big Red 14-4 to lead by 11. The Wolves perimeter defense was strong, holding Missouri Valley to 3-13 from three but the Big Red did a nice job scoring inside, making 11-25 shots. IKM-Manning struggled from deep as well, going 5-13 and only hit 12-35 shots from inside the arc.
Anna Stangl had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds with 5 steals. Oriah Mieners paced the Wolves with 14 points and Addisyn Bandow added 7 points and 5 rebounds. Keagan Eischeid finished with 8 points and 7 rebounds.
The Wolves have dropped three in a row, slipping to 8-10 overall. They head to Boyer Valley on Thursday.

The Raiders had chances to blow the game open early, but a tough shooting night kept the door open for Pocahontas Area. East Sac shot 31.1% from the field and went 3-11 from beyond the arc. Pocahontas trimmed the deficit to 20-13 by half. The Indians took advantage of the Raiders offensive struggles, tying the game at 20 with 6:28 left in the 3rd quarter. The Raiders fell behind 22-20 with 6:10, not scoring until 2:35 left in the 3rd quarter. Pocahontas Area led 31-22 after East Sac bucket and led 33-27 going to the 4th quarter.
