Boys Wrestling Results Saturday, February 1st 

Kuemper At Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet At Denison Schleswig 

Kuemper competed with eight wrestlers at the Hawkeye 1o on Saturday with seven of the eight medaling. They had six wrestlers take 5th place and one in 6th. The Knights went 14-17 in matches wrestled with twelve wins by fall, a decision and a medical forfeit. They finished 9th with 74 points, edging Denison Schleswig, which finished with 71 points.

Caleb Hoffman (126) was 3-2 with a pair of wins by fall and a medical forfeit, taking 5th. Will Atherton (120), Joe Klein (144), Sam Rotert (175) and James Janssen (190) all went 2-2 with all both wins by fall. They all finished in 5th. Coby Pierce (215) went 2-2 with a win by fall and a decision. Pierce finished in 5th.

Carroll At Raccoon River Conference Tournament At ADM 

Carroll had four guys finish in the top three and nine guys place in the top 6, helping them finish 6th as a team with 112.5 points. The Tigers were 19-24 in matches wrestled with fourteen wins by fall, three by decision, a tech fall and a major decision. Carlisle won the conference title with 210 points, edging Bondurant Farrar, which had 209 points.

Owen Klocke (157) was the top finisher for Carroll, taking 2nd place by going 2-1 with a win by fall and a decision. Kieran Polking (175) and Quinten Polking (190) were both 3-1 with all three of their wins by fall. They both finished in 3rd. South Central Calhoun went 3-2 in duals in their tournament on Saturday. They beat Newman Catholic 63-15, St Edmond 66-12 and West Monona 58-15. The Titans lost to Lawton Bronson 46-36 and fell to Humboldt 59-24. South Central Calhoun went 17-21 in matches wrestled with fifteen wins by fall, a major decision and a decision. They were 5-2 against Newman Catholic with four wins by fall and a decision, went 1-2 against St Edmond with their win by fall. The Titans were 3-3 against West Monona with two wins by fall and a major decision. They went 5-6 against Lawton Bronson with all five wins by fall and were 3-8 against Humboldt with all three wins by fall.
