Carroll was really strong on defense, their offense was sharp in the 1st half with great ball movement, finding cutters and open shooters. They led by 17 at half but used a 21-2 run in the 4th quarter to blow open a game that saw Boone fight their way back into the game. Carroll did a nice job getting shots in the 3rd quarter but couldn’t get shots at the rim to fall, allowing Boone to cut the lead to 54-41 after the 3rd.  Carroll felt pretty good having struggled to make shots but still led by thirteen. After a Boone three to start the 4th made it a ten point game, Carroll went on a tear, using a 21-2 run to build a twenty-nine point lead late. 

There were two lead changes early as Boone went up 3-2 but Carter Essick put Carroll back up 4-3. Carroll stretched the lead to 10-3 with Stone Sibenaller hitting a pair of floaters in the lane and Trey Tassell scoring. Carroll kept the lead around five to eight points the rest of the quarter. They led 17-10 going to the 2nd quarter. Miles Nuzback pushed the lead to 19-10 but Boone cut it to 19-13. Jared Mohr and Noah Hinners scored and Carroll led by ten, 23-13. Carroll took charge in the 2nd quarter and Blake Molinsky hit a three to put them up 32-17. Molinsky kept the lead at fifteen with another three. Tyler Tassell had a nice move along the baseline to put Carroll up 41-24 at half. 

Carroll had great looks in the 3rd, missing a lot of shots at the rim but the defense kept them in the lead. Boone scored seventeen points in the 3rd but Carroll got key buckets from Stone Sibenaller and Carter Essick to lead 54-41 going into the 4th. The Toreadors cut the game to 54-44 early in the 4th but Noah Hinners gave the momentum back to Carroll and Stone Sibenaller hit a huge three, pushing the lead to 59-44. The Tigers went on a 21-2 run to lead 75-46 as Jared Mohr had a pair of steals, finishing one with a dunk. 

Jared Mohr led Carroll with 19 points and 4 steals. Stone Sibenaller added 10 points and Noah Hinners had 10 points. Trey Tassell added 9 points and 3 steals, Carter Essick and Mac Collison both scored 8 points with Essick had 4 assists. 

Carroll moved to 6-8 overall and 4-7 in the Raccoon River Conference. Carroll hosts Winterset on KIKD on Friday.

Ar-We-Va at West Monona

The Ar-We-Va Rockets pick up their fifth straight win as they knock off West Monona on the road. The Rockets were able to lead the whole game. Ar-We-Va jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter at 18-5. West Monona would come back in the second quarter. Ar-We-Va would hold on to lead at the half 28-26. The Rockets were able to build their lead back up in the third quarter. Ar-We-Va would lead 50-37 going to the fourth quarter. West Monona made a push in the fourth quarter, but Ar-We-Va went on to win 62-54. Blayne Smith led the Rockets, who scored 21 points and added ten rebounds. Wade Ragaller added 20 points in the win. Wyatt Ragaller chipped in ten points for Ar-We-Va. With the win, the Rockets move to 13-3. Ar-We-Va will be back in action against Woodbine on Friday.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders rolled on the road as they picked up a Rolling Valley Conference win over Exira-EHK on Tuesday. The game started close as both offenses made shots early. Coon Rapids-Bayard would lead 19-17 going to the second quarter. The Crusaders were able to open the game in the second quarter. CRB would outscore the Spartans 24-7 in the second quarter. CRB would lead 43-24 at the half. The Crusaders played good defense in the third quarter as they held Exira-EHK to only eight points in the quarter. CRB would grow their lead to 59-32 going to the fourth quarter. The Crusaders would go on to win 72-46.

The Crusaders had three players score in double figures. Cal Heydon led the way with a team-high 27 points. Parker Hays was 6-6 from the field as he added 15 points for CRB. Ty Heydon recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. With the win, CRB moves to 15-1. The Crusaders are back in action on Monday against Paton Churdan.

The East Sac County Raiders struggled to shoot the basketball as they fell on the road to Manson Northwest Webster. The Raiders would fall down early in the first quarter as Mason NW Webster was able to build a lead. The Raiders would trail 17-8 after the first quarter. Both teams scored 16 points in the second quarter. ESC would trail 33-24 at the half. Manson Northwest Webster was able to grow their lead in the third quarter, outscoring ESC 10-5. The Raiders attempted to come back down double digits in the fourth quarter, but they went on to lose 54-43. ESC had two players score in double figures. Sam Julin and Asher Lawler each recorded 11 points in the loss. With the loss, ESC falls to 7-8. The Raiders are back in action on Friday against Sioux Central.

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats were able to stick with Woodbine for the first half but fell at home on Tuesday. The first quarter was an offensive shootout, as both teams were able to knock down shots. The Wildcats knocked some big threes in the quarter to keep pace with Woodbine. Glidden-Ralston would trail 26-22 going to the second quarter. Glidden-Ralston would knock down some more big threes in the second quarter, but Woodbine would start to pull away. The Wildcats would trail 43-35 at the half. In the second half, Woodbine would be able to get easy baskets in transition, and Glidden-Ralston would struggle to score. Woodbine outscored Glidden-Ralston 27-4 in the third quarter. Glidden-Ralston would go on to lose 84-44. Jonathan Bergmeier led the Wildcats in scoring, recording 18 points in the loss. Carson Peters added seven points for Glidden-Ralston. With the loss, Glidden-Ralston falls to 9-7. The Wildcats are back in action on Friday against Boyer Valley.

The Paton Churdan Rockets end a four-game losing streak as they knock off West Harrison at home. The game would be back and forth in the first quarter. Paton Churdan would hold a small lead at 10-9 going to the second quarter. The Rockets would grow their lead to double digits in the second quarter. Paton Churdan would lead 28-16 at the half. Paton Churdan would come out on fire in the third quarter as they outscored West Harrison 28-9 in the quarter. Paton Churdan would go on to pick up a win over West Harrison 68-41. Travon Keely recorded a team-high 31 points. Phoenix Hartman added 15 points in the win. With the win, PC moves to 6-9. The Rockets are back in action on Thursday against West Central Valley.

The South Central Calhoun Titans pick up their tenth win of the season as they knock off West Bend-Mallard on Tuesday. The Titans shot the basketball well, recording 78 total points. SCC led 37-24 at the half, and their lead would continue to grow in the second half as they went on to win 78-44. The Titans were led in scoring by Evan Myers and Cole Higgins, who each scored 21 points. Andrew Anderson chipped in ten points for the Titans. With the win, SCC moves to 10-6. The Titans are back in action on Friday against Newell-Fonda.

A tough 3rd quarter for IKM-Manning was the difference for them on the road on Tuesday as they played really well most of the game. IKM-Manning played the Eagles within three points in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters combined but were outscored 23-11 in the 3rd. Underwood got hot from beyond the arc, hitting 11 of 22 shots from deep. The Wolves led 17-16 at the end of the 1st quarter and were down 33-30 at half. 

Ben Ramsey led the Wolves with 28 points while dishing out 5 assists. Wyatt Danner had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Brock Kusel had 9 points and 4 rebounds and Ashton Ahrenholtz added 6 rebounds.

The loss drops IKM-Manning to 6-9 overall. They head to Audubon on 93.7 KKRL on Thursday.
