Carroll held Boone scoreless from the middle of the 2nd quarter into the middle of the 4th quarter blowing open a game they led 19-13 before the run and 48-13 before the Toreadors scored again. The Tigers led early but Boone’s pressure defense kept them in the game as they forced some turnovers and made it difficult for Carroll to get open looks. The Tigers defense was just as good as they led 14-9 at the end of the 1st quarter. Carroll pushed the lead to nine early in the 2nd quarter but Boone hit their only three of the game, pulling within six. Carroll cranked it up, going on a 12-0 run to end the 1st half, then held Boone scoreless in the 3rd quarter to lead 46-13 entering the 4th quarter.
Ali Kock hit a bucket and a pair of free throws as Carroll led 4-0 early. Boone responded with a 4-0 run but Carroll got back-to-back threes from Katelyn Aden and Jersey Sporrer and led 10-4. Boone pulled within 10-7 but Analia Ayala scored for Carroll and Katelyn Aden hit a three to put them up 14-9 going to the 2nd quarter. Aden scored to open the 2nd quarter and Ali Kock made it 19-10 with a pair of free throws. After a Boone three Sophia Tidren answered with a three, then she hit another three after Katelyn Aden had a pair of free throws. Analia Ayala knocked in a three to end the half and Carroll led 31-13.
Carroll established Olivia Rowedder in the post to start the 2nd half and Carroll’s defense closed down Boone. The Tigers struggled to score early in the 3rd but got rolling late, outscoring Boone 15-0 in the 3rd. Carroll was able to clear the bench in the 4th quarter and they went on to win 52-19.
Ali Kock had a team high 12 points with 6 rebounds, Katelyn Aden had 11 points and 4 assists. Sophia Tidgren added 9 points and Analia Ayala scored 7 points. Olivia Rowedder had 4 steals and Chloe Kock added 3 steals.
Carroll improved to 12-4 overall and 7-4 in the Raccoon River Conference. They host Winterset on KIKD on Friday.

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats lost at home on Tuesday to a good Woodbine squad. The Wildcats struggled with turnovers in the first half. Woodbine took an early lead, 21-8, going into the second quarter. The Wildcats made adjustments defensively in the second quarter but were outscored 15-10. Glidden-Ralston trailed 36-18 at the half. Woodbine grew its lead in the third quarter, outscoring GR 16-10. Glidden-Ralston only managed three points in the fourth quarter as they would go on to lose 70-31. Allison Snyder recorded a team-high 14 points in the loss. Olivia Squibb chipped in 11 points for the Wildcats. With the loss, Glidden-Ralston falls to 4-11. The Wildcats are back in action on Friday against Boyer Valley.

The East Sac County Raiders picked up a Twin Lakes Conference win as they went on the road and knocked off Manson Northwest Webster. The first half was back and forth as the Raiders would fall down early in the ball game. The first quarter was fast-paced, as both teams shot the ball well. The Raiders would hold on to a 16-15 going to the second quarter. Both teams adjusted defensively in the second quarter as Manson Northwest Webster outscored ESC 12-9. The Raiders would trail at the half by two, 27-25. Both teams exited the locker room and shot the ball well again. Manson Northwest Webster would hang on to a slight lead going to the fourth quarter at 42-40. The fourth quarter was the difference in the game for the Raiders. ESC would have their best scoring quarter come in the fourth. The Raiders would outscore Manson 20-8 as they would complete the comeback and go on to win 60-50.
Makenna Steiger broke the school record in career three-point makes as she had a team-high 24 points. Steiger broke the record with 191 made threes. Sarah Bontrager had an efficient night on the offensive end, finishing with 14 points. As a team, the Raiders pulled down 32 rebounds. Kendall Quirk had a team-high 11 rebounds in the win. Quirk also chipped in nine points for the Raiders. With the win, ESC moves to 8-8. The Raiders are back in action on Friday against Sioux Central.

The South Central Calhoun Titans picked up a big Twin Lakes Conference win over a good West Bend-Mallard team on Tuesday. The Titans were great defensively in the win, holding West Bend-Mallard to only 38 points. SCC was able to jump out to a lead in the first quarter at 14-10. West Bend-Mallard would cut into the Titans lead in the second quarter as they outscored SCC 13-10. SCC would hold on to a one-point lead at the half, 24-23. Coming out of the locker room, SCC opened the game. The Titans would outscore WBM 15-7 in the third quarter. The SCC lead would grow again in the fourth as they went on to win 49-38. South Central Calhoun was great on the glass in the win as they pulled down 30 rebounds. The Titans had four players score in double figures. Macie Dorman had a team-high 13 points in the win. Blair Schleisman added 12 points and six rebounds. Bre Patterson and Saide Wheelock each had ten points in the win. Patterson also added a team-high 13 rebounds. With the win, SCC moves to 7-9. The Titans are back in action on Friday against Newell-Fonda.

The Exira-EHK Spartans picked up a big conference win at home over Coon Rapids-Bayard on Tuesday. The Crusaders suffered their first loss in the Rolling Valley. Coon Rapids-Bayard would hold a lead going to the second quarter at 11-8. Exira-EHK would pick up physically on the defensive end as they would come back to take the lead. The Spartans outscored CRB 13-4 in the second quarter. Exira-EHK would lead 21-15 at the half. The Spartans would continue to grow their lead in the second half. CRB struggled on offense as they were outscored in the third quarter, 17-8. The Crusaders managed to cut into the Exira-EHK lead in the fourth quarter, but the Spartans went on to win 50-34.
Jaelynn Petersen had a great offensive game for Exira-EHK, recording a team-high 22 points. Taryn Petersen chipped in 15 points in the win. For Coon Rapids-Bayard, they were led by Anna Hart with ten points. Malia Clayburg added nine points in the loss. With the win, Exira-EHK moves to 13-3. The Spartans are back in action on Thursday against Panorama. With the loss, CRB falls to 12-3. The Crusaders return to the hardwood on Monday against Paton Churdan.

IKM-Manning did a better job offensively in the second half, but Underwood went on to win 68-39. IKM-Manning was led in scoring by Anna Stangl, who scored ten points.
