The Carroll Tigers picked up their third and second straight wins against a ranked opponent with a win on the road Monday. Carroll fell down early and had a big fourth quarter to complete the comeback. ADM would jump out to a 16-11 lead in the first quarter. Both teams added 11 points in the second quarts as ADM took a 27-22 lead at the half. Carroll would fall down double digits in the third quarter. The Tigers showed toughness as they would cut into the ADM lead to trail 43-37 going to the fourth quarter. The Tigers were able to come back in the fourth quarter after scoring 18 points. Katelyn Aden got fouled on a drive to the basket with under ten seconds left. Aden was able to knock down both free throws to give Carroll the lead. ADM missed their final shot at the buzzer, and Carroll would go on to win 55-54.

The Tigers had three players score in double figures. They were led by Katelyn Aden, who scored 17 points and added six rebounds in the win. Olivia Rowedder chipped in 16 points and added ten rebounds. Eight of Rowedder’s rebounds were on the offensive end. Ali Kock added 11 points in the win. With the win, Carroll moves to 11-4. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday against Boone.

Ar-We-Va at IKM-Manning

The IKM-Manning Wolves pick their eighth win of the season as they knock off Ar-We-Va at home on Monday. The Rockets struggled against IKM-Manning’s press defense, which led to many turnovers. IKM-Manning would start the game on a 10-0 run in the first quarter, forcing Ar-We-Va to call a timeout. Coming out of the timeout, Ar-We-Va would go on a 5-0 run to cut it to 10-5. The Wolves would end the first quarter on another 10-0 run to lead 20-5 going to the second. IKM-Manning would go on a 22-0 run between the first and second quarters to blow the game open. Ar-We-Va would trail 38-10 at the half. Coming out of the locker rooms IKM-Manning would continue to grow their lead. The Wolves would lead by 40 late in the third quarter. The lead would grow to 66-16. The Rockets added three points late in the fourth quarter but would go on to lose 73-19.

IKM-Manning had four players score in double digits. Keagan Eisheid recorded a team-high 16 points in the win. Eisheid also had eight rebounds for the Wolves. Anna Stangl had a great game running the offense. She recorded 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, and six steals. Oriah Meiners added 11 points for IKM-Manning. Off the bench, Addisyn Bandow chipped in ten points. For Ar-We-Va, they were led by Gabbie Hundling, who scored 10 points. With the win, IKM-Manning moves to 8-7. The loss drops Ar-We-Va to 3-12. The Wolves are back in action on Tuesday against Underwood. The Rockets are back on the hardwood Tuesday against West Monona.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders pick up their 12th win of the season with a win on the road against Ogden. The Crusaders played great defense on Monday, holding Ogden to only 13 points in the win. CRB would lead 12-1 going to the second quarter. Going into the locker room, the Crusaders would grow their lead to 25-5. CRB’s lead grew in the second half as they held Ogden to only two points in the third quarter. The Crusaders would go on to win 44-13. CRB was led by Malia Clayburg, who recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds. Aubrey Hofbauer chipped in 12 points and four steals. Anna Hart added a team-high eight steals in the win. With the win, CRB moves to 12-2. The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday against Exira-EHK.
