Isaac Blankman hit his first-six-threes in the 1st quarter helping IKM-Manning jump out to a 21-14 lead after the 1st quarter but Audubon stormed back and led late in the 3rd quarter and were down 46-44 with just over 3:00 left before Blankman hit his ninth-three of the game, helping IKM-Manning hold on for a huge conference win. The game was tight most of the way with IKM-Manning leading by as many as eight and Audubon grabbing a six point lead in the 3rd quarter. The game changed leads eleven times and was tied twice.

The game was scoreless for nearly two minutes to start the game before Brock Kusel hit a free throw to put the Wolves up 1-0. Aaron Olsen responded for Audubon with a three and the Wheelers were up 3-1. The teams traded threes with Isaac Blankman putting the Wolves up 4-3, Oliver Deist giving Audubon a 6-4 lead and Blankman putting IKM-Manning back up 7-6. Blankman extended the lead to 10-6 and 13-8 but Audubon fought back. Brody Schultes his the first of his four-threes in the game and the Wheelers were down 13-11. Oliver Deist tied the game and Brody Schultes put the Wheelers up 14-13. Isaac Blankman, who hit his first- six-threes  in the 1st quarter hit back-to-back threes and the Wolves were up 19-14. Brock Kusel grabbed an offensive rebound and scored before the Buzzer and IKM-Manning led 21-14 after the 1st quarter. Austin Christensen and Brody Schultes scored to start the 2nd quarter and Audubon closed within 21-18. Ashton Ahrenholtz had a huge rebounding game, grabbed an offensive rebound and scored for IKM-Manning, putting them up 23-18. Brody Schultes hit a three and the Wheelers were within two, then he hit another three and the Wheelers grabbed a 26-25 lead. Sullivan McClain extended the Wheelers lead to 28-25  and the Wheelers led 28-27 at half.

Ben Ramsey and Isaac Blankman put IKM-Manning ahead early in the 3rd as Blankman scored in the lane, then Ramsey found him for another three and the Wolves were up 32-30. Aaron Olsen responded with a three, putting Audubon up 33-32. Carson Wessel extended their lead to 38-32 but Ben Ramsey scored five in a row and Ashton Ahrenholtz tied the game at 39 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Luke Janssen put IKM-Manning up for good with a free throw to start the 4th quarter. Ben Ramsey extended their lead to 44-39 but Austin Christensen scored inside for the Wheelers, then hit a pair of free throws, cutting the deficit to 46-44. Isaac Blankman struck again with back-to-back threes and the Wolves were up 52-44. Carson Wessel scored for Audubon and Brody Schultes drained a three and the Wheelers had a chance down 52-49. Free throws by Luke Janssen and Brock Kusel put the Wolves up 55-49 but Aaron Olsen hit a deep three and the Wheelers were within three at 55-52. Ben Ramsey salted the game away with three free throws for IKM-Manning.

Isaac Blankman led all scores with 29 points, finishing with 9 made threes. Ben Ramsey added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Ashton Ahrenholtz had 9 rebounds and Brock Kusel added 7 rebounds for IKM-Manning.

Brody Schultes led the Wheelers with 15 points with Austin Christensen adding 7 points and 9 rebounds and Oliver Deist had 6 steals.

The Wolves improve to 6-8 overall and 4-7 in the WIC. They head to Underwood on Tuesday. Audubon falls to 6-8 overall and 2-6 in the WIC as they head to East Sac on KIKD on Monday.

Brock Badding hit 5-3’s to become the all-time leader in Kuemper history for made three point shots in his career. The junior has 178 in his career, surpassing the old record held by his brother Parker Badding.  The Knights didn’t wait until the 2nd quarter to put the game away, jumping out 28-13 in the 1st quarter and 57-22 at half. Carson Kanne dished out 13 assists as the Knights shot the ball well, hitting 70.2% from the field and going 12 of 21 from three, led by Brock Badding, who was 5 for 7. Kuemper had twelve guys score in the game with five guys in double figures. Everyone that saw the floor contributed in the win. The Knights scored 42 in the 2nd half with 25 of those coming in the 3rd quarter.

Brock Badding led the Knights with 16 points to go with 3 steals. Dylan Schon added 14 points and 7 rebounds, Ryan Clair had 13 points and 7 rebounds, Carson Kanne scored 11 points to go with his 13 assists and Griffin Glynn contributed 12 points.

The Knights improved to 16-1 and will face Des Moines Christian in Gilbert on Saturday on KIKD 106.7.

Coon Rapids Bayard had another outstanding defensive effort and shot the ball well from inside the arc, knocking off Paton Churdan on Friday. The Rockets battled but only had three players score as they try to find a new rotation with Cayden Stream out of the lineup. Coon Rapids Bayard hit 20 of 35 shots inside the arc, helping them build a 21-4 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and 43-11 by half. They had more steals with 10 than turnovers with 9 and pulled down 15 offensive rebounds, led by 6 from Ty Heydon. That allowed them to score on second chance opportunities. They dished out 17 assists on 27 made baskets.

Bryce Lewis had a strong game with 17 points and 5 assists to pace the Crusaders. Cal Heydon added 12 points and 4 assists while Ty Heydon had 9 points and a team high 13 rebounds. Caden Oswald scored 9 points and made 5 steals and Parker Hays had 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Trevon Keely had a strong game for Paton Churdan as he continues a very good sophomore season, finishing with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Phoenix Hartman added 5 rebounds.

The Crusaders are 13-1 overall and 10-1 in the Rolling Valley. They head to Ogden on Monday. Paton Churdan falls to 5-9 overall and 3-8 in the Rolling Valley. The Rockets host West Harrison on Tuesday.

The South Central Calhoun Titans picked up a Twin Lakes Conference win as they knocked off Sioux Central at home on Friday. Both teams struggled to shoot the ball in the first quarter. SCC stayed in an aggressive 2-3 zone defense, forcing turnovers out of it. The Titans would take a 6-4 lead going to the second quarter. SCC picked up the pace offensively in the second quarter, adding 16 points. Evan Myers and Charlie Nattress hit some big threes to help SCC push their lead to nine late in the quarter. The Titans would take a six-point lead at 22-16 at the half.

SCC would stay dominant on the defensive end in the second half as they were able to grow their lead to double digits. SCC outscored Sioux Central 16-9 in the third quarter. The Titans were able to push their lead to 20 points as they went on to win 60-38. The Titans were balanced on the offensive end. SCC had four players score in double figures. Cole Higgins and Evan Myers each had 16 points in the win. Charlie Nattress and Garrett Krause chipped in 13 points. With the win, SCC moves to 9-6. The Titans are back in action on Tuesday against West Bend-Mallard.

The East Sac County Raiders picked up their fourth straight win as they knocked off Alta-Aurelia at home. The Raiders shot the ball exceptionally well, making 16 threes in the win. The first quarter played a big part in the game as ESC built a double-digit lead early. The Raiders would lead 19-5 going to the second quarter. ESC would grow their lead in the second quarter, adding 18 points. Going into the locker rooms, ESC would lead 37-20. The Raiders would outscore Alta-Aurelia in the third quarter, holding them to only five points. Alta-Aurelia would outscore ESC 24-15 in the fourth quarter, but the Raiders would go on to win 70-49.

Sam Julin led the Raiders on the offensive end with 18 points. Julin also knocked down a team-high five threes in the win. Asher Lawler added 14 points. Landon Sporrer, Zach Jacobsen, and Carson Schmitt each added eight points in the win. With the win, ESC moves to 7-6. The Raiders are back in action on Monday against Audubon.

The Ar-We-Va Rockets pick up their 12th win of the season and fourth straight as they knock off Exira-EHK at home. The Rockets fell down early and needed a comeback in the second half to pick up the win. The Rockets would trail 15-7 going to the second quarter. Ar-We-Va was able to cut into the lead in the second quarter but would still trail. Exira-EHK would lead 24-19 at the half. Ar-We-Va was able to get it going on the offensive end in the third quarter as they would take the lead. The Rockets would lead 38-29 going to the fourth quarter. Exira-EHK would cut into the Rockets lead in the fourth quarter, but Ar-We-Va would go on to win 53-47. 

Wyatt Ragaller led the Rockets in scoring with 19 points. Blayne Smith chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds in the win. Tyson VonGlan chipped in eight points and six rebounds for Ar-We-Va. With the win, Ar-We-Va moves to 12-3. The Rockets are back in action on Tuesday against West Monona.
