East Sac At MVAOCOU

East Sac 53

MVAOCOU 44

East Sac evened their record at 6-6 with a nice road win on Thursday. The Raiders need to have a strong night shooting the three, attack the baseline and not turn the ball over against a defense with length. East Sac shot 42.9% from three and had 14 turnovers, helping them earn the win. A fast start contributed to their success, building a 14-4 lead late in the 1st quarter. MVAOCOU charged back, pulling within 26-20 at half but big halves from Jack Gullett, who did a nice job attacking the baseline and hitting a couple corner threes. Sam Julin was crucial in the 1st half, knocking in several threes.

The Raiders had to buckle down in the 3rd when Sam Julin went to the bench with his 4th foul. They did a nice job getting scoring in different ways, pushing the lead to 38-28 heading to the 4th. The Raiders were able to shorten the game in the 4th, having long possessions and scoring late in the possession. Landon Sporrer and Sam Julin both hit three, keeping their lead around double figures. They rebounded the ball very well, especially on the defensive end, not allowing an offensive rebound for the Rams.

Sam Julin had a team high 17 points with Jack Gullett scoring 16 points. Asher Lawler had a career high 11 rebounds while scoring 7 points. Landon Sporrer had 7 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
