The Carroll Tigers get back in the win column as they knock off Woodbine on the road Thursday. The game was back and forth, but Carroll would build a double-digit lead in the second half. Carroll shot the ball well in the game, knocking down nine threes. The Tigers would struggle to get back in transition in the first quarter as Woodbine would jump out to an early 14-7 lead. Carroll would come out of a time-out and take a 15-14 lead. Woodbine held on to an 18-17 lead going to the second quarter. Carroll adjusted in the second quarter on the defensive end as they held Woodbine to only eight points. Carroll would tie the game up at 22-22 in the second quarter. The Tigers would grow their lead to 29-26 at the half.
Carroll came out of the locker room and hit some big threes, knocking down three in the third quarter. Carroll would grow its lead to double digits at 50-40. Woodbine would cut into the Carroll lead going to the fourth quarter at 50-43. Woodbine would cut the lead to three points late in the game, but Carroll was able to hang on, winning 64-58.
Three players scored in double figures for Carroll. Katelyn Aden and Sophia Tidgren each recorded a team-high 16 points. Aden also led the team in steals with four. Ali Kock did a great job of getting to the baskets, chipping in 12 points and five assists. Carroll struggled to rebound, pulling down 18 as a team. With the win, Carroll moves to 9-4. The Tigers are back in action on Saturday against St. Albert.

The Ar-We-Va Rockets struggled on offense Thursday as they fell on the road at Missouri Valley. The Rockets would only manage 12 points in the game. They would trail 36-10 at the half. Ar-We-Va scored two points in the second half as they would go on to lose 59-12. Ar-We-Va only had two girls score in the game. The Rockets were led by Gabbie Hundling, who scored 10 points in the loss. Elaina Geake chipped in two points for Ar-We-Va. With the loss, Ar-We-Va falls to 3-10. The Rockets are back in action on Friday against Exira-EHK.

IKM-Manning won a huge road game against Coon Rapids Bayard, knocking off the 12th ranked Crusaders with a strong defensive and rebounding effort. The Crusaders had open looks early but struggled from the field, missing opening threes in the 1st half and several shots at the rim. The game was very physical early, making it tough for teams to score inside but IKM-Manning was able to get baskets from Anna Stangl and Keagan Eischeid to build the lead. The Wolves dominated the glass early. Coon Rapids Bayard pulled within in the 3rd quarter but IKM-Manning held them off and stretched the lead.
Malia Clayburg gave Coon Rapids Bayard the early lead but that was the only bucket they scored in the 1st quarter. The Wolves went on a 8-0 run to end the 1st quarter getting buckets from Keagan Eischeid to tie the game. Anna Stangl gave the Wolves the lead with Keagan Eischeid scoring the next four points, putting them up 8-2 after the 1st quarter. Malia Clayburg hit a couple free throws to start the 2nd quarter but McKenna Benton hit a three and IKM-Manning had their biggest lead at 11-4. After a Malia Clayburg bucket, Anna Stangl had back-to-back baskets, putting the Wolves up 15-6. Stangl added a pair of free throws late in the half but Aubrey Hofbauer drained a three to cut the lead to 17-10. Coon Rapids Bayard had a chance to trim the lead going into half but the Wolves made a stop.
Laynie Gawley scored to open the 2nd half and IKM-Manning went up 20-10 after a free throw from Taylor Beckendorf. Beckendorf and Addisyn Bandow scored, pushing the Wolves lead to 24-12. Coon Rapids Bayard responded with buckets from Malia Clayburg and Anna Hart. A pair of Malia Clayburg free throws pulled the Crusaders within 24-18 but Addisyn Bandow and Taylor Beckendorf extended the lead back to ten early in the 4th quarter. The Wolves were in complete control after a Oriah Meiners three put them ahead 35-22.
Anna Stangl nearly had a double-double at half, finishing with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Keagan Eischeid added 9 points and 7 rebounds and Laynie Gawley had 6 rebounds. Oriah Meiners added 5 points and 5 rebounds.
Malia Clayburg led the Crusaders with 11 points and 11 rebounds.Ashtyn Klocke had 8 rebounds, Aubrey Hofbauer had 8 points and Ella Heithoff added 7 points.
The Wolves moved to 7-7 overall and will host Ar-We-Va on Monday. Coon Rapids Bayard falls to 10-2 and will entertain Paton Churdan on Friday.

The East Sac County Raiders struggled to shoot as they fell on the road to number eight MVAOCOU. As a team East Sac County shot 27 percent from the field. The Raiders did knock down five threes in the loss. ESC would be down by double digits going to the second quarter at 17-5. MVAOCOU would grow their lead in the second quarter. Going into the locker rooms ESC would be down 35-15. The Raider’s best quarter offensively was the third as they added 12 points. ESC would be down 50-27 going to the fourth quarter. East Sac County would go on to lose 59-34. The Raiders were led in scoring by Makenna Steiger, who scored 12 points. Sarah Bontrager chipped in nine points in the loss. As a team, ESC recorded 33 rebounds. With the loss, East Sac falls to 6-8. The Raiders are back in action on Friday against Alta-Aurelia.
