The Kuemper Knights struggled in the second half on offense as they dropped a close game at home to Clarinda. The Knights were able to build a lead in the first half. The third quarter was the difference in Kuemper’s ball game. The first quarter was fast-paced, with both teams trading buckets. Clarinda would hold a slight lead of 14-11 going to the second quarter. The Knights would take the lead in the second quarter as they outscored Clarinda 17-11. Kuemper would lead 28-25 at the half. Coming out of the locker room, Clarinda would get the lead back. The Cardinals would lead Kuemper 44-36 going to the fourth. Kuemper attempted to come back in the fourth quarter, but they were unable to. The Knights would go on to lose 50-44.
Kaylie Simons led the Knights on the offensive end, scoring 13 points. Elsa Tiefenthaler chipped in ten points. The Knights shot 28 percent from the field as a team. Tiefenthaler recorded a team-high six rebounds and four assists. With the loss, Kuemper falls to 9-8. The Knights are back in action on Friday against Creston.

The Ar-We-Va Rockets pick up their third win of the season as they knock off Paton Churdan on the road. The Ar-We-Va Rockets knocked off Paton Churdan on Tuesday. Ar-We-Va led the whole game. Ar-We-Va would hold on to a 13-9 lead going to the second quarter. Ar-We-Va would continue to grow their lead over PC in the second quarter. At the half, Paton Churdan would trail Ar-We-Va 22-13. In the third quarter, Paton Churdan was held to four points. Ar-We-Va would grow their lead to double digits at 34-17 going to the fourth quarter. Ar-We-Va would go on to win 41-25 over Paton Churdan.
Ar-We-Va was led in scoring by Hallie McCollough who had 21 points. Gabbie Hundling chipped in 11 points. Amber Ragaller pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in the win for Ar-We-Va. For Paton Churdan they were led by Alivya Smith with eight points. Kaliyah Minnihan chipped in five points. With the win, Ar-We-Va moves to 3-9. The loss drops PC to 1-13. Ar-We-Va is back in action on Thursday against Missouri Valley. PC is back on the court on Friday against Coon Rapids-Bayard.

The Raiders added 12 points in the second half as they would go on to lose 52-32. Sarah Bontrager led the Raiders in scoring with 10 points. Chloe Bieret added nine points off the bench. As a team ESC shot 26 percent from the field. Kendall Quirk pulled down 15 rebounds in the loss. With the loss, ESC falls to 6-7. The Raiders are back in action on Thursday against MVAOCOU.

Taryn Petersen scored 39 points and Exira-EHK used a 12-0 run early to build a lead they would extend throughout the game. Glidden Ralston played well, attacking the Spartans full-court press but struggled to finish after an early basket by Kassidy Wenck. The Spartans opened their lead in the 2nd quarter and went into half, up 39-13.
Kassidy Wenck put Glidden Ralston on the board first but Exira-EHK responded with a 12-0 run, getting several second and third chance baskets with Harlee Fahn and Taryn Petersen combining for ten of the twelve points. Glidden Ralston fought back with Olivia Squibb pulling them within 14-6 but the Spartans stretched the lead to 19-8 at the end of the 1st quarter with Taryn Petersen scoring four straight. Harlee Fahn and Taryn Petersen combined to score the first-eight points of the 2nd quarter and Exira-EHK led 27-8. Allison Snyder hit a three for Glidden Ralston but Taryn Petersen and Jaelynn Petersen pushed the lead to 32-11 when Snyder scored for the Wildcats. The Spartans finished the 1st half on a 7-0 run and they led 39-13 at half.
Taryn Petersen scored eight straight points to start the 3rd quarter and Exira-EHK was up 47-13. Glidden Ralston responded well with Olivia Squibb hitting a three, Kassidy Wenck hitting a bucket and Allison Snyder knocking in a pair of free throws. The Wildcats pulled within 49-23 but Taryn Petersen scored four in a row and Exira-EHK was up 59-25 going to the 4th quarter.
Taryn Petersen scored 39 points and had 6 steals for Exira-EHK with Harlee Fahn having a nifty double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Kadence Sporrer had a strong all-around game with 5 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals.
Allison Snyder led Glidden Ralston with 14 points along with 4 rebounds. Olivia Squibb had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals and Kassidy Wenck had 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Exira-EHK improves to 10-3 overall and 8-2 in the Rolling Valley as they host Van Meter on Saturday. Glidden Ralston slips to 4-9 overall and 3-6 in the Rolling Valley. They travel to River Valley on Thursday.

Both teams added 11 points in the third quarter. SCC would stay in front going to the fourth quarter at 34-30. Turnovers were the story of the fourth quarter for SCC. The Titans were outscored 18-13 as PAC came back to win. The Titans would go on to lose 48-47. South Central Calhoun had two players score in double figures. Bre Patterson scored 10 points in the loss. Blair Schleisman had a team high 13 points for the Titans. Patterson also recorded a team-high 14 rebounds. With the loss, SCC falls to 6-9.
