Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: East Sac Tops Denison Schleswig on Saturday

East Sac took the early lead, then pulled away down the stretch to earn a nice road win on Saturday, evening their record to 6-6 on the season. The Raiders defense was strong Saturday, holding Denison Schleswig to 29.8% from the field and 0-11 from beyond the arc. East Sac forced 29 turnovers, allowing them to get extra possessions and transition baskets. East Sac struggled from the field but outscored the Monarchs 9-0 from deep, going 3-17 from beyond the arc. They did a nice job at the free throw line, going 10-14. The Raiders were up 11-6 at the end of the 1st quarter and led by five going to the 4th quarter. The stretched the lead in the final stanza, outscoring the Monarchs 13-8.

Makenna Steiger led two players in double figures with 12 points, along with 4 assists and 5 steals. Sarah Bontrager added 12 points with 4 steals. Addisen Ehler added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Kendall Quirk pulled down 9 rebounds and Rachel King blocked two shots.

The Raiders are 6-6 on the season and will head to West Bend Mallard on Tuesday.
