Kuemper At Perry Girls Invite
Kuemper placed four of their seven wrestlers at Perry with Sadie Smith earning an individual title. The Knights finished in 10th place with 58 points, going 12-13 in matches wrestled. They won eight matches by fall, two by tech fall and two by decision. Dallas Center-Grimes won the tournament with 202.5 points, easily outdistancing 2nd place Perry with 143 points.
Sadie Smith (125) was outstanding, winning her first-four matches by fall, then picking up a 2-0 win over Ayden Erickson of Perry in the 1st place match. She went 5-0 on the evening. Cara Schuette (145) was 2-3, taking 3rd place with a tech fall and a decision. Kyla Wiskus (120) had a strong showing, going 3-2 with two wins by fall and one by tech fall, finishing in 5th. Charlotte Schwabe (155) added another 5th for the Knights, going 2-2 with both her wins by fall.
