Carroll fell at home on Friday, falling down early and never climbing over the hump at the Wildcats slowly edged away to win by double digits. Carroll never got down big in the game until late but never pulled closer than four points after falling behind 14-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Tigers offense struggled in the 2nd quarter but the defense kept them in the game, getting outscored 9-4. Carroll finished the game with 14 steals but weren’t able to capitalize and chip into the deficit. The Wildcats extended the lead into double figures in the 3rd and led 40-27 going into the final eight minutes.
Chloe Kock had a strong game for Carroll, scoring 15 points. She was the only Tiger in double figures with Sophia Tidgren adding 8 points and Ali Kock scoring 7 points. Katelyn Aden paced the defense with 6 steals along with 2 blocks and dished out 5 assists. Tidgren added 3 steals to her night and Ali Kock had 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
The loss drops Carroll to 8-4 overall and 5-4 in the Raccoon River Conference. They travel to ADM on Tuesday.

A late bucket by Kassidy Wenck sealed the win for Glidden Ralston in a hard fought game. Paton Churdan pulled within five late and had a couple chances to cut into the deficit but Glidden Ralston made enough plays to earn their fourth win of the season. Both teams struggled early with Paton Churdan edging ahead 5-4 at the end of the 1st quarter. The defenses were battling inside, not allowing anything easy. Alivya Smith and Ella Tasler helped the Rockets grab the lead while Glidden Ralston battled some early foul trouble with Allison Snyder picking up a couple quick fouls. Kassidy Wenck kept the Wildcats close with a strong start on the boards and her defense on the perimeter. The Wildcats grabbed the lead early in the 2nd quarter and never relinquished it the rest of the game. Wenck continued to play well and Ashlynn Tigges came on inside for Glidden Ralston. Alivya Smith kept the Rockets close but they trailed 14-10 at half. The Wildcats pushed the lead early in the 3rd quarter with Allison Snyder getting some looks and Kate Bergmeier doing a nice job on the boards. Paton Churdan closed the quarter with some momentum, down 26-18. The Rockets used the momentum to cut into the Wildcats lead in the final stanza. Kaliyah Minnihan knocked down a few shots, including a three. Ashlynn Tigges kept the Wildcats in the lead with tough work in the lane and Olivia Squibb hit a couple timely shots. The Wildcats were able to run nearly the final 0:24 seconds off the clock with Wenck scoring just before the buzzer.
Allison Snyder led the Wildcats with 10 points along with 3 steals. Kassidy Wenck pulled down 12 rebounds to go with 6 points, 4 assists and 4 steals. Ashlynn Tigges had a strong game with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals, Kate Bermeier had 7 rebounds and Olivia Squibb added 7 points.
Alivya Smith and Kaliyah Minnihan both nearly had double-doubles with Smith having 9 points and 13 rebounds and Minnihan adding 7 points and 10 rebounds. Ava Minnehan added 6 rebounds and Ella Tasler finished with 5 points.
Glidden Ralston moves to 4-8 overall and 3-5 in the Rolling Valley. They host Ogden on Monday. Paton Churdan slips to 1-12 overall and 0-7 in the Rolling Valley. They entertain Ar-We-Va on Tuesday.

South Central Calhoun earned a huge win on the road Friday with Bre Patterson hitting a shot with 10.3 seconds left, putting the Titans in the lead. The South Central Calhoun defense shut down the Warriors for the remainder of the game. Patterson led the Titans with 22 points, Blair Schleisman scored 12 points with Ailey Korleski and Macie Dorman both scoring 9 points. Sadie Wheelock added 7 points in the win. The Titans improved to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They head to Pocahontas Area on Tuesday.

East Sac took charge early, leading 17-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and 41-12 at half. The Raiders shot the ball well, hitting 27 of 61 shots, including eight from deep. Makenna Steiger had a strong shooting night, going 6-12 from three, finishing with 20 points. The Raiders pushed the game into continuous clock with a minute left in the 3rd quarter. The defense finished with 20 steals and blocked 3 shots. The Raiders controlled the boards with Addisen Ehler having 9 rebounds with a team high 22 points. Kendall Quirk had a team high 10 rebounds with 4 steals. Chloe Bieret had a very nice game passing the ball, finishing with 8 assists. Sarah Bontrager had 6 rebounds with 5 steals and Rachel King added 6 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.
East Sac moves to 5-6 overall and 2-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They head to Denison Schleswig on Saturday.

Exira-EHK played one of their best games of the season on Friday, starting on the defensive end. The Spartans held Boyer Valley to single digits in all four quarters. Their defensive rotated was outstanding, allowing them to win 50/50 balls. The offense hummed, scoring 25 points in the 1st quarter and leading 48-17 at half. They got good looks with strong ball movement and making the extra pass.
Three Spartans scored in double figures, led by Taryn Petersen with 23 points, Jaelynn Petersen added 16 points and Kadence Sporrer finished up with 12 points.
The Spartans move to 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the Rolling Valley. They head to Glidden Ralston on Tuesday.

The game turned in the 2nd quarter as Coon Rapids Bayard rallied from a rough start to gain control of the game. They tied the game at half but shutting out the Cougars in the 2nd quarter. The defense clamped down, finishing with 21 steals along with Malia Clayburg shutting everything down at the rim, blocking 6 shots. The Crusaders were down 20-9 at the end of the 1st quarter but evened the game at 20 at half. They grabbed the lead for good in the 3rd quarter, up 38-29 entering the 4th quarter.
Aubrey Hofbauer had one of her best games of the season, finishing with 15 points along with 5 steals. Malia Clayburg had a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks while Anna Hart added 15 points, 4 assists and 9 steals. Ashtyn Klocke added 3 steals.
The Crusaders improved to 10-1 overall and 8-0 in the Rolling Valley. They head to St Edmond on Monday.

Anna Stangl led them with 12 points and 5 rebounds, Taylor Beckendorf had 7 rebounds and 3 steals and Kegan Eischeid added 5 rebounds. Oriah Meiners had strong defensive game with 4 steals.
