A tough stretch late in the 1st quarter and a three to four minute stretch of the 2nd quarter put East Sac in a hole they couldn’t recover from. Landon Sporrer had 5 early points with a bucket and a three, pulling the Raiders within 6-5. Kade Snyder hit a pair of free throws and East Sac was down 8-7. They had a few chances to take a lead in the 1st quarter but never got closer than two after Jack Gullett drained a three to pull them within 12-10. SE Valley closed the 1st quarter on a 6-0 run and led 18-10. The lead grew to 24-10 to start the 2nd quarter and things got worse for East Sac. The Raiders had three shot clock violations and two back court violations against the press along with several turnovers in a 3:00-4:00 minute stretch and they found themselves down 32-15 late in the half.
Landon Sporrer and Sam Julin both had buckets to start the 2nd half as the Raiders pulled within 38-23 but an 11-0 run by SE Valley put the game out of reach. East Sac trailed by as much as 27 in the 2nd half. East Sac struggled from the field, shooting 27.7% from the field and 25% from three.
Sam Julin paced the offense with 12 points with Landon Sporrer having 9 points and 4 assists. Jack Gullett added 6 points and 3 assists.
The loss drops East Sac to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They head to Emmetsburg on Friday.

Audubon earned their second straight win and third in their last four games. The defense was strong and the Wheelers did a great job at the free throw line, hitting 14 of 16 free throws. Audubon steadily pulled away, getting up 21-14 at the end of the 1st quarter, pushing it to a ten-point lead at half. Red Oak heated up in the 3rd quarter but the Wheelers were able to answer, keeping the lead at 10 going into the 4th quarter. Audubon put the game away in the 4th quarter.
Brody Schultes paced the offensive attack with 21 points with Mason Steckler and Carson Wessel both having 18 points.
The Wheelers improved to 4-3 overall and will travel to LoMa on Tuesday.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders got back in the win column as they knocked off West Central Valley at home. The Crusaders played great defense as they led for the whole game. CRB jumped up quickly 15-0 going to the second quarter. CRB would add to their lead in the quarter as they outscored WCV 16-8. The Crusaders would lead 31-8 at the half. CRB opened the bench up in the second half as they continued to grow their lead. The Crusaders would go on to win 54-20.
Coon Rapids-Bayard had three players score in double digits against West Central Valley. Cal Heydon recorded a team-high 18 points for the Crusaders. Caden Oswald and Ty Heydon each scored 12 points in the win. Ty Heydon also pulled down ten rebounds. With the win, CRB moves to 6-1. The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday against Boyer Valley.
