Kuemper won their fifth straight, again cruising to a win by more than 20 points. The Knights have won four of their five games this season by 26 or more points. Their offense continues to hum, hitting 59.3% from the field, shooting 67.4% from inside the arc and 4-13 from beyond the arc. They did a  nice job getting the ball inside and getting to the free throw line, hitting 20-25 free throws. Kuemper had 24 assists on 35 made baskets.  The defense had 13 steals while they turned the ball over 12 times. Kuemper had 41 rebounds with 17 of those on the offensive end. 

Atlantic hung close for the 1st quarter with Kuemper leading 26-17 going into the 2nd quarter. The trend this season has been teams not able to keep up past a quarter and a half and Kuemper began to pull away in the 2nd quarter, leading 49-29 at half. The offense poured in 32 points in the 3rd quarter. 

Dylan Schon continues to play very well, scoring with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan Clair paced the offense with 21 points to go with 7 rebounds. Griffin Glynn had 16 points with Carson Kanne scoring 10 points and dishing out 7 assists. Tregan Beiter added 7 points and 6 assists with Jack Badding quietly having a big year with 13 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. 

The Knights sit 5-0 heading into a game against Winnebago at the Tyson Events Center on Thursday.

Carroll had the game slip away in the 2nd half after leading through a tight 1st half. The Tigers  edged out to a 19-16 lead after the 1st quarter with Jared Mohr scoring 9 points to lead the way. Boone adjusted their defensive look and slowed Mohr down, holding him to five points over the final three quarters. The Tigers had other guys step up in the 2nd quarter, holding a 30-27 at half. Boone took the lead in the 3rd, holding Carroll to 11 points, taking a 47-41 lead into the final stanza. Both offenses clicked up in the 4th but Boone outscored Carroll 18-14 to pull out a 65-55 win.
Jared Mohr led the Tigers with 14 points to go with 5 rebounds. Noah Hinners scored 9 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Trey Tassell and Miles Nuzback both had 7 points and Blake Molinsky finished with 6 points. 

Carroll falls to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the Raccoon River Conference. They head to Winterset on Friday.

Coon Rapids Bayard may have played their most complete game of the season, playing aggressively on defense and Head Coach Cory Meyer said their most free on the offensive end. They turned 15 steals and several long defensive rebounds into fast breaks and transition baskets. Cal Heydon and Ty Heydon controlled the inside while Bryce Lewis, Caden Oswald and Parker Hays dominated the guard court. The Crusaders jumped out 26-9 after the 1st quarter but blew the game open in the 2nd, out scoring the Spartans 22-5 to lead 48-14 at half. 

Bryce Lewis scored early, followed by a bucket from Ty Heydon and Coon Rapids Bayard led 4-0. Exira-EHK answered with a 5-0 run to grab their only lead. A Bryce Lewis basket put the Crusaders up for good and Cal Heydon and Caden Oswald extended the lead to 11-5. A pair of Spartans free throws cut into the deficit but Ty Heydon scored and Cal Heydon hit a three, followed by a bucket from Bryce Lewis extending the Crusaders lead to 18-9. Parker Hays and Caden Oswald pushed the lead to 22-9 and Cal Heydon added a couple more buckets in transitions, giving Coon Rapids Bayard a 26-9 lead after the 1st quarter. Coon Rapids opened the 2nd quarter on a 6-0 run and never looked back. They closed the 2nd quarter on a 14-0 run with Ty Heydon pushing the lead to 48-14 at half. The run moved to 18-0 with Coon Rapids Bayard scoring the first-four points in the 2nd half. The lead grew to 41 on a bucket from Ty Heydon as the Crusaders went on to win 68-32. 

Cal Heydon had three dunks, finishing with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and dominated the game while on the floor. Ty Heydon added 15 points and 9 rebounds and Bryce Lewis had a strong game, finishing with 12 points and 4 assists. Caden Odwald pitched in with 10 points and 4 assists. Parker Hays added 8 points and 6 rebounds. 

Coon Rapids Bayard moves to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Rolling Valley Conference heading into the break.

The Wildcats struggled offensively in the 1st half but played better on the offensive end in the 2nd half. The Tigers size and length gave the Wildcats defense problems as Glidden Ralston struggled to get stops. Woodbine opened the game with an 8-0 run and led the Wildcats 16-6 going into the 2nd quarter. The Tigers got hot from outside in the 2nd quarter, stretching the lead to 37-13 at half. The Wildcats did a nice job in the 3rd quarter, scoring 16 points but they gave up 26 points as the Tigers kept the pressure on. Glidden Ralston struggled in the 4th quarter, falling 73-29. 

Jonathan Bergmeier had 10 points with Dawson Majerus adding 7 points and Alex Daniel scored 5 points. 

The loss dropped them to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They host Boyer Valley on KIKD 106.7 on Friday.

A tough shooting night hurt IKM-Manning against an Underwood team that took advantage, pulling away in the 2nd half to earn their first conference win. The Wolves trailed 16-12 at the end of the 1st quarter and were still in the game, down 41-25 at half. The Eagles kept stretching the lead and blew it open, holding IKM-Manning to six points in the 4th quarter. 

The Wolves had two players in double figures with Isaac Blankman and Ben Ramsey both scoring 11 points. Wyatt Danner added 8 points. The undersized Wolves struggled on the boards with Brock Kusel and Ben Ramsey leading the team with 4 each. Ramsey added a team high 5 assists. 

The loss drops IKM-Manning to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Western Iowa Conference. They head to Treynor on Friday.

Paton Churdan earned their first win of the season, going on the road and pulling away in the 2nd half to roll to a 64-41 win. The defense was strong, holding the Hawkeyes to 29.4% from the field and 3-16 from beyond the arc. The Rockets forced 15 turnovers, turning many of them into easy baskets. They led 15-12 at the end of the 1st quarter, extending it to 30-23 at  half. The defense held the Hawkeyes to 18 points in the 2nd half, nearly matching that on the offensive end in both the 3rd and 4th quarters. The Rockets scored 17 points in both quarters, pulling away for the win. 

The Rockets had seven players score with three in double figures. Trevon Keely led them with 22 points, adding 7 rebounds. Phoenix Hartman scored 15 points and pulled down 7 rebounds while Cayden Stream finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Bryce Stephenson had a big night on the boards with 11 rebounds. Hunter Saffell added 5 points and 5 rebounds. 

The Rockets improved to 1-3 overall and 1-3 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They host Colo-Nesco on Thursday and CAM on Friday.
