The Kuemper Knights dropped their second game in a row as they fell on the road at Atlantic on Tuesday. Kuemper struggled on offense in the first quarter as they fell down early. The Knights would trail 14-4 at the end of the quarter. Kuemper would adjust between quartes as they found a groove on the offensive end. Atlantic would outscore Kuemper 22-17 in the quarter. The Knights would trail 36-21 at the half. Atlantic would grow their lead in the second half. The Knights would be down 53-37 going to the fourth quarter. Kuemper only managed seven points in the fourth quarter, and they would go on to lose 65-44.
Kuemper only had one player scoring in double figures, as Elsa Tiefenthaler finished with a team-high 25 points. Charlotte Hackfort chipped in eight points for the Knights. Kaylie Simons and Tiefenthaler each added five rebounds in the loss. Simons also dished out a team-high five assists. With the loss, Kuemper falls to 2-4. The Knights are back in action on Thursday against Spencer.

The Carroll Tigers picked up their third win of the season and their first in conference play with a victory over Boone. Carroll outscored Boone in every quarter and held them to single digits in the quarters. The Tigers started slow on offense but found a groove late in the first quarter, as they would take a 12-8 lead going to the second. Carroll would outscore Boone 17-3 in the second quarter as they continued to play great defense. The Tigers would lead 29-11 at the half. Carroll came out of the locker room and was able to grow their lead. Carroll added 12 points in the quarter as they would lead 41-14 going to the fourth. The Tigers would go on to beat Boone 53-22.
The Tigers had three players score in double digits against Boone. Carroll was led by Katelyn Aden, who chipped in 14 points in the win. Ali Kock and Olivia Rowedder each added ten points for the Tigers. With the win, Carroll moves to 3-2 and 1-2 in the RRC. The Tigers are back in action on Friday against Winterset.

Coon Rapids Bayard never trailed and pulled away in the 2nd half, earning their second straight win over Exira-EHK. The Rockets led by 10 at half but the Spartans kept fighting back, pulling within 42-35 early in the 4th quarter. Coon Rapids Bayard responded with a 9-0 run with Ashtyn Klocke scoring five of the nine. The Crusaders ended with 19 steals with 10 of those in the 1st quarter.
Coon Rapids Bayard edged out in the 1st quarter after Riley Miller tied the game at 2, Ashtyn Klocke scored a bucket and Anna Hart followed with a pair of free throws. A three from Kadence Sporrer pulled the Spartans within 6-5 but Coon Rapids Bayard held them off. Anna Hart had another pair of free throws and Malia Clayburg scored a bucket, pushing the lead to 10-5. Alisssa Testroet and Brylie Andersen each hit a free throw for Exira-EHK, pulling them within 10-7. Aubrey Hofbauer drained a 25-foot shot at the buzzer and Coon Rapids Bayard led 13-7 going to the 2nd quarter. An Anna Hart three stretched the lead to 16-7 but Taryn Petersen responded with a three and Brylie Anderson hit a pair of free throws. The Spartans trailed 16-12 midway through the 2nd quarter. Malia Clayburg and Anna Hart had buckets for Coon Rapids Bayard was back up 20-12. A Taryn Petersen three pulled the Spartans within 20-16 but Aubrey Hofbauer scored a bucket and Anna Hart hit another long three and Coon Rapids Bayard had their largest lead, 25-16. Hart hit another long three and Coon Rapids Bayard went up 29-17 late 1st half. Zoey Rasmussen responded for the Spartans, hitting a baseline three, followed by a three from Harlee Fahn three and the Spartans were down 29-23. Malia Clayburg and Aubrey Hofbauer both scored with Hofbauer beating the buzzer for a second straight quarter and the Crusaders were up 33-23 at half.
Ella Heithoff hit a three early in the 3rd and Coon Rapids Bayard led 37-24. Malia Clayburg scored to stretch the lead to 42-27 but Riley Miller drained a three followed by five straight from Taryn Petersen late in the 3rd and starting the 4th and the Spartans were down 42-35. Malia Clayburg pushed the lead to 44-35 followed by five straight points from Ashtyn Klocke, making it 49-35. Klocke added two more baskets as Coon Rapids Bayard pulled away.
Malia Clayburg led the Crusaders with 18 points and 13 rebounds with 5 steals. Anna Hart added 15 points and 7 assists, Ashtyn Klocke had 11 points and Aubrey Hofbauer added 7 points and 4 steals. Ella Heithoff finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds.
Taryn Petersen led the Spartans with 11 points and 3 steals. Kadence Sporrer had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Riley Miller added 5 points and 6 rebounds and Brylie Andersen had 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Coon Rapids Bayard heads to the break at 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the Rolling Valley. Exira-EHK enters the break 2-2 overall and 2-2 in the Rolling Valley.

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats dropped a Rolling Valley Conference game on the road to a good Woodbine squad. Woodbine game into the game ranked tenth in Class 1A. Glidden-Ralston fell down early in the first quarter as Woodbine jumped out to a 26-9 lead. The Wildcats struggled on the offensive end in the game, as they would be down 41-12 at the half. The second half was much better for Glidden-Ralston as they doubled their points scored. Glidden-Ralston would go on to lose 65-32. Only three players scored in the game for the Wildcats. Allison Snyder had a team-high 16 points. Olivia Squibb chipped in 14 points. With the loss, Glidden-Ralston falls to 2-3. The Wildcats are back in action on Friday against Boyer Valley.

The IKM-Manning Wolves played in their second overtime game in the last week as they fell on the road to Underwood on Monday. The Wolves were able to build a lead in the first half but saw it disappear in the second half. At the end of the first quarter IKM-Manning would lead 18-9. IKM-Manning played great on the offensive end, shooting over 50 percent from the field in the loss. The Wolves would outscore Underwood 16-11 in the second quarter. They would lead 34-20 at the half. The Wolves struggled on defense in the second half as Underwood would make a big comeback. The Eagles outscored IKM-Manning 19-14 in the third quarter. The Wolves lead would be trimmed to 48-39 going to the fourth quarter. Underwood would be able to tie the game up at 62-62 at the end of the fourth. The overtime period would stay tight but IKM-Manning would fall at home 72-68.
IKM-Manning had two players score in double digits. Anna Stangl led the way with a team-high 31 points. Stangl went 8-8 from the free-throw line in the loss. Laynie Gawley was the other Wolve player in double figures with ten points. Taylor Beckendorf dished out a team-high six assists for the Wolves. As a team, IKM-Manning recorded 19 steals. With the loss, IKM-Manning falls to 2-4. The Wolves are back in action on Friday against Treynor.

The Titans struggled with turnovers and shooting the basketball against Spencer. Neither team was able to gain a clear advantage in the first quarter, as the game would be tied 7-7 going to the second. Spencer would outscore SCC in the second quarter 11-9. The Titans would trail 18-16 at the half. SCC came out of the locker room and was able to build a lead. The Titans would take a 30-23 lead going to the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, SCC gave up its lead. The Titans would go on to lose 37-33.
Bre Patterson scored a team-high 12 points for the Titans. As a team, SCC pulled down 32 rebounds. Saide Wheelock recorded a team-high 11 rebounds and added eight points for the Titans. With the loss, SCC falls to 4-4. The Titans are back in action on Friday against Emmetsburg.
