The Kuemper Knights picked up their second win on the season as they rolled past Denison-Schleswig on the road Friday. Kuemper made eight threes on the night but shot under 35 percent from behind the arc. The Knights jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter as they did a great job of running their transition offense. Kuemper was also balanced on the offensive end, with ten players getting into the scoring column. At the end of the first quarter, the Knights would be in control, leading 30-6. Dylan Schon was great off the bench again for Kuemper, as he recorded 11 points in the second quarter. The Knights would grow their lead to 52-12 at the half.
The third quarter was the only one in which the Knights didn’t score double figures. The second half was played with a running clock due to Kuemper’s large lead. The Knights took a 61-15 lead going to the fourth quarter. The Knights went on to win 73-31.
Three players scored in double figures for the Knights, led by Brock Badding with 15 points. Griffin Glynn scored in double digits for the second straight game with 11 points. Dylan Schon chipped in 13 points off the bench. Jack Badding and Nash Leonard each had eight points in the win. The Knights shot 53 percent from the field, going 29-54. With the win, Kuemper improved to 2-0 in the young season. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday against Harlan.

The Carroll Tigers picked up their first win of the season as they went on the road and knocked off Carlisle on Friday. The Tigers scored in double digits in each quarter as a team. Both offenses started hot as Carroll jumped out to a 15-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tiger’s offense continued its fast pace as they added 19 points in the second quarter. Carroll would lead 34-31 at the half. The Tigers made adjustments on defense as they only held Carlisle to 12 points in the third quarter. Carroll added 18 points in the quarter as their lead would grow to 52-43 going to the fourth. Carlisle would outscore Carroll 13-9 in the fourth quarter as they attempted to come back into the game. The Tigers would go on to win 61-56.
The Tigers had two players score in double figures. They were led by Jared Mohr, who had a team-high 22 points. Stone Sibenaller had a great game as well, with 18 points for the Tigers. Sibenaller was also 9-11 from the free-throw line. Noah Hinners and Trey Tassell each pulled down five rebounds in the win. With the win, Carroll moves to 1-1. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday against ADM.

The Audubon Wheelers fall at home on Friday to a good Treynor squad. The first quarter was the closest, as Audubon was able to keep it close early. Treynor would lead Audubon 9-6 going to the second quarter. The Wheelers only scored double digits once, and it was in the fourth quarter. Treynor would grow their lead in the second quarter as they outscored Audubon 17-6. The Wheelers would trail 26-12 at the half. Treynor added 26 points in the third quarter as they would lead 52-21. The Wheelers would go on to lose 63-31. Aaron olsen and Brody Schultes each recorded a team-high seven points in the loss. Oliver Deist chipped in six points for the Wheelers. With the loss, Audubon falls to 1-2. The Wheelers are back in action on Tuesday against Missouri Valley.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders keep the early season winning going as they pick up a conference win over CAM Friday night. The first quarter was back and forth as the Crusaders held on to a tight 11-8 lead going to the second. CAM would stay in the game in the second quarter as both offensive picked up their pace. CRB held on to a 26-21 lead at the half. CRB made significant adjustments when they came out of the locker room, as they would open the game up in the second half. Coon Rapids-Bayard outscored CAM 21-1o in the third quarter. CRB would take a 47-31 lead going to the fourth quarter. The Crusaders would add 16 points in the fourth quarter as they went on to win 63-39.
CRB had two players score in double figures, led by Cal Heydon, who had a team-high 26 points. Parker Hays chipped in 14 points for the Crusaders. Ty Heydon added eight points and pulled down a team-high 17 rebounds. As a team, CRB had 45 rebounds. Caden Oswald shared the ball well, recording eight assists. With the win, CRB improves to 3-0. The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday against West Harrison.

The South Central Calhoun Titans knocked off East Sac in a defensive battle Friday night. The Raiders struggled to shoot all night. SCC was also great on the offensive glass, getting multiple put-back opportunities. Both defenses were great all game. The Raiders jumped out to a 7-6 lead after the first quarter. South Central Calhoun would take the lead back in the second as they would lead 18-17 at the half. The second half was all South Central Calhoun as the Raiders struggled on the offensive end. SCC outscored ESC 14-5 in the third quarter as their lead grew to 32-22. The Titans would extend their lead in the fourth quarter and would go on to win 42-26.
The Titans had two players in double figures, with Cole Higgins and Andrew Anderson recording a team-high ten points. Evan Myers and Garrett Krause each chipped in eight points in the win. The Raiders were led by Jack Gullett, who scored a team-high 12 points. Sam Julin added eights in the loss for ESC. With the win, SCC moves to 2-0. The loss drops the Raiders to 1-1. The Titans are back in action on Monday against Mason Northwest Webster. ESC is back on the court Thursday against OABCIG.

Glidden Ralston improved to 2-0, holding off Paton Churdan in the 4th quarter as the Rockets fell to 0-2. The Wildcats and Rockets exchanged buckets early but the Wildcats never trailed after going up 2-0 on a bucket by Colby Wallace. Trevon Keely tied the game at 2 but Dawson Majerus pushed the Wildcats lead to 5-2. Keely tied it with a three but that would be the last tie in the game. Dawon Majerus put the Wildcats up for good with a pair of free throws, followed by a bucket from Daniel Thooft. Glidden Ralston built a 19-9 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, using a 7-0 run, highlighted with free throws from Carson Peters and Alex Daniel and another bucket from Daniel Thooft. The lead grew to 22-12 on a bucket by Lucas Christian early in the 2nd quarter. Trevon Keely brought the Rockets back, scoring five straight, pulling the Rockets within 22-18. Daniel Thooft and Alex Daniel pushed the Wildcats back up 26-18 and Colby Wallace hit a pair of free throws late and Glidden Ralston led 28-20 at half.
Dawson Majerus hit a bucket to start the 4th quarter and Jonathan Bergmeier scored back-to-back baskets, giving the Wildcats their largest lead at 34-20. Hunter Saffell stopped the run for Paton Churdan and Saffell and Trevon Keely kept the Rockets close, pulling them within 39-31. Dawson Majerus and Colby Wallace had a nice connection on the pick and roll all game and they connected a few times late in the 3rd as Glidden Ralston entered the 4th quarter up 46-34. Trevon Keely and Hunter Saffell scored to start the 4th for Paton Churdan before Phoenix Hartman hit a three and Cayden Stream followed it up with a three and Paton Churdan pulled within 51-44. Dawson Majerus answered with a bucket for Glidden Ralston and Jonathan Bermeier and Alex Daniel helped them seal the win.
Dawson Majerus led the Wildcats with 17 points to go with 8 rebounds. Colby Wallace had 9 points along with a team high 13 rebounds. Jonathan Bergmeier scored 10 points in the 2nd half with 6 rebounds. Alex Daniel added 9 points and Waylon Hein pulled down 6 rebounds. Daniel Thooft finished with 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Trevon Keely had a nifty double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Phoenix Hartman added 6 points and Cayden Stream pulled down 8 rebounds with 3 steals.
Glidden Ralston improves to 2-0 and will travel to Woodward Granger on Monday. Paton Churdan falls to 0-2 and heads to Ar-We-Va on Tuesday.

The IKM-Manning Wolves pick up back-to-back wins as they knock off Riverside on Friday at home. The first half was back and forth as both teams would be tied 11-11 going to the second quarter. Riverside would take advantage in the second quarter as they outscored IKM-Manning 16-13. The Wolves would trail 27-24 at the half. The Wolves would make adjustments in the locker room and came out on fire on offense in the third quarter. IKM-Manning scored 23 points to outscore Riverside by ten to take the lead. The Wolves would lead 47-40 going to the fourth quarter. IKM-Manning’s defense picked up in the fourth quarter as they closed the game out. The Wolves would hold Riverside to seven points as they went on to win 64-47.
Ben Ramsey recorded a team-high 23 points for IKM-Manning. Ramsey also had eight assists, which led the team. Wyatt Danner chipped in 14 points. Danner and Ramsey each had seven rebounds in the win. Ar-We-Va jumped out to a 13-4 lead after the first quarter, taking an early lead. The Rockets were great on the defensive end, holding West Harrison to under 35 points. At the half, Ar-We-Va would lead 33-12 over West Harrison. In the second half, the Rocket’s lead continued to grow as they would lead 45-27 at the end of the third quarter. The Rockets would go on to win 56-33 over West Harrison.
Blayne Smith and Wyatt Ragaller each scored in double figures for Ar-We-Va. Smith recorded a team-high 20 points in the win, while Ragaller added 12 points. Smith also recorded eight rebounds.
