Boys Wrestling Results For Friday, December 6th
Kuemper at the Humbolt Tournament
The Kuemper Knights wrestling team opened their season as they traveled to Humbolt for a Friday night tournament. The Knights finished sixth in the tournament with 137 team points. Colby Pierce was the lone Knight to finish in first place at the meet. Pierce, who was a state qualifier a season ago, picked up two pins on his way to a championship in the 215-pound weight class. At 285 pounds, Reid Steger finished in third place for Kuemper. Steger won by fall in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. He would lose in the second round and then pick up a win in the third-place match. Caleb Hoffman, Jake Smith, Owen Nepple, and Case Kock picked up fourth-place finishes on Friday. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday in a quad at Griswold.
