IKM-Manning picked up a nice win on the road Thursday, holding off a late rally by Panorama, getting a steal and free throw from Wyatt Danner to seal the win. The Wolves had to rally after a slow start, then held off a pair of rallies in the 2nd half. Panorama pulled within one in the 3rd and had a pair of possessions to take a lead and went on a 11-point lead late trimmed to one in the closing moments.
Panorama came out playing well, jumping out 4-0 and building 10-3 and 12-5 leads. Once IKM-Manning settled in they took control in the 1st quarter with Brock Kusel starting the rally with a pair of buckets. Ben Ramsey followed with a three and Kusel hit a three to put the Wolves up 13-12. Ramsey’s second three of the quarter put IKM-Manning up 16-12 at the end of the 1st quarter. Panorama hit a three to start the 2nd quarter but Wyatt Danner answered with a three, IKM-Manning went up 19-15. Panorama scored five in a row, grabbing a 20-19 lead. Brock Kusel put the Wolves up for good with a bucket, followed by a pair of threes from Isaac Blankman and IKM-Manning was up 27-22. After Panorama pulled with 27-25 the Wolves closed the half on a 6-0 run to lead 33-25 at half. Wyatt Danner had four of the six points in the run.
Panorama pulled within 33-31 to start the 2nd half but Wyatt Danner kept the Wolves in front with a steal and layup. The Panthers pulled within 35-34 and had a pair of possessions to take a lead but the Wolves defense made stops and Wyatt Danner put the Wolves up 38-34. A pull up jumper by Isaac Blankman and pair of free throws from Danner and the Wolves began to distance themselves, up 47-38. They built a 55-44 lead with just over 3:00 to go on a pair of free throws by Wyatt Danner, who went 7-8 for the game. Panorama created some turnovers, going on a 10-0 run to pull within one. The Wolves came out of a timeout and Ben Ramsey got to the rim, laying it in to put them up 57-54. Wyatt Danner made a steal on the Panthers next possession and was fouled. He hit the first free throw with :09 left and the Wolves held on to win 58-54.
Wyatt Danner ended with 20 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Ben Ramsey had 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Brock Kusel 11 points and 5 rebounds. Isaac Blankman added 8 points and 5 rebounds and Ben Langel had 5 points.
The Wolves sit 1-1 going into a home game on Friday with Riverside.
