Carroll hung close on the road in the 1st half, though they struggled to get their offense started. Mount Vernon scored a pair of touchdowns in the final 4:44 of the half, pushing their lead to 21-0. The Tigers finished the game with 139-yards of total offense, rushing for 99-yards and throwing for 40-yards. Mount Vernon was balanced on offense, rushing for 161-yards and five touchdowns and throwing for 195-yards and a touchdown. 

Both teams punted on their opening possessions as the game remained scoreless until late in the quarter. The Mustangs struck first, scoring on a 2-yard touchdown run by Kellen Haverback, late in the 1st quarter. They missed the 2-point conversion and the Tigers trailed 6-0 entering the 2nd quarter. Carroll’s offense wasn’t able to establish the ground game, rushing for 5-yards in the 1st half. Mount Vernon’s defense line was able to control the line of scrimmage, forcing Carroll to have to throw the ball. With the Tigers offense struggling the Mustangs had good field position most of the half and took advantage late in the half. Cooper Hird scored on a 1-yard run with 4:44 left in the half, pushing the lead to 14-0. The Mustangs added a 47-yard touchdown pass in the final minute, extending the lead to 21-0. 

The Mustangs got the ball to start the 2nd half, establishing the ground game and scoring on an 18-yard run by Kellen Haverback with 8:57 left in the 3rd quarter. They lead 27-0. Carroll kept battling but the Mustangs pushed the lead to 35-0 after three quarters. Taidyn Peterson put the Tigers on the board in the 4th quarter, breaking off a 62-yard touchdown run. He was close several times in the game to breaking off a big run and was able to find success late. 

Taidyn Peterson had 120-yards on 16-carries along with 7 tackles. Quinten Polking added 7 tackles and Edrik Heisterkamp and Gavin Holt both had 5 tackles. 

The Tigers end their season at 6-4.
