The Kuemper Knights picked up a blowout win over Chariton as they opened up the Class 2A playoffs at home. The Knights were unstoppable on offense in the first half at times. Kuemper had over 420 yards of total offense in the win on Friday. Kuemper jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Knights lead would grow to 41-0 at the half. Brock Badding and Jarin Hoffman were great for Kuemper on the offensive side of the ball. The Knights added another touchdown in the second half as they grew their lead to 48-0. Kuemper would go on to win 48-7.
Brock Badding had his best game throwing the football for the Knights. Badding was 14-18 for 248 yards and two touchdowns, completing over 70 percent of his passes. Jarin Hoffman had another game with over 100 rushing yards on the ground. Hoffman recorded 138 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Braxton Vonnahme was the Knights leading receiver with 83 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Tate Bieret had 11 tackles, all of them solo. Bieret also had a tackle for loss and a sack. With the win, Kuemper improved to 8-1. The Knights are back home on Friday when they host Central Lyon George Little Rock.
