Coon Rapids-Bayard’s season comes to an end as the Crusaders fall on the road at Colo-Nesco. CRB lost six games in a row to end the season. The first half was close, but Colo-Nesco was able to pull away in the second half. Neither team scored in the first quarter as the game remained tied 0-0 going to the second. The Crusaders offense was able to move it down the field all game. Wyatt Oswald had a 51-yard rushing touchdown to put CRB on the board in the second quarter. Colo-Nesco would also score in the quarter, as the game was tied at 6-6 going into the half. Colo-Nesco added a touchdown coming out of the locker room, and they also had a lead at 12-6. CRB would respond as they would score a touchdown to take a lead halfway through the third quarter at 14-12. The Royals would add another touchdown as they led 20-14 going to the fourth quarter. Colo-Nesco and CRB added a couple more touchdowns in the fourth, but the Royals would go on to win 36-22.

Caden Oswald had a good game, throwing the football and rushing it on Friday. Oswald was 6-12 for 77 yards and a touchdown. He also had 15 carries for 90 yards in the loss. Senior Wyatt Oswald was the Crusader’s leading rusher with 144 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Wyatt Oswald also recorded four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Mohr and Wyatt Oswald had a team-high six tackles in the loss. Mohr also had two tackles for loss. With the loss, the Crusaders season comes to an end at 1-7.
