The South Central Calhoun Titans clinch a playoff spot in Class A with a win over Panorama on Friday. South Central Calhoun led the whole game. The Titans were able to take an early lead as Caleb Juhl found the endzone. SCC would add another touchdown in the quarter as they would take a 14-0 lead going to the second quarter. South Central Calhoun’s defense was strong on Friday as they forced four Panorama turnovers. SCC added three more touchdowns in the second quarter as they would lead 35-0 at the half. With the running clock on for most of the second half, the Titans would add another touchdown in the third quarter to lead 41-0. Panorama would add a couple of touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but SCC would go on to win 41-12.
Andrew Anderson had a great all-around game. He was 7-9, throwing the football for 101 yards and a touchdown. Anderson also added a rushing touchdown and an interception on defense. Cole Higgins was the Titans’ leading rusher with 48 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Higgins also recorded four receptions for a team-high 76 yards. With the win, SCC improves to 4-3. The Titans are back in action on Friday against Earlham.
