IKM-Manning scored first and led at the end of the 1st quarter but ACGC stormed back in the 2nd quarter, scoring 35-points to lead 42-28 at half. IKM-Manning countered with 20-points in the 2nd quarter to keep it close. They had success throwing the ball, passing for 198-yards with a pair of touchdowns. The Wolves defense forced a pair of turnovers but struggled to contain Jathan South and the Chargers running game. ACGC ran for 463-yards, averaging 10.5-yards per attempt.
Ben Langel put the Wolves up on their first drive of the game. He capped an 11-play drive, that covered 52-yards with a 1-yard run. The Wolves got a 2-point conversion and led 8-0. ACGC answered on their next possession, scoring on a 2-yard run by Mike Fuller, pulling within 8-7. The Wolves struck early in the 2nd quarter with Davis Rasmussen catching a 5-yard touchdown pass from Ben Ramsey with 11:56 left in the half. The Wolves 14-7 lead was quickly erased as ACGC scored on on a 51-yard run by Jathan South on the third play of their next possession. The game was tied at 14 but ACGC struck quickly with South scampering in from 11-yards with 9:07 left in the half, taking their first lead of the game. IKM-Manning put together a strong drive, going 45-yards on 8-plays, scoring on a 6-yard pass from Ben Ramsey to Brock Kusel. Davis Rasmussen tied the game at 21 with the extra point with 5:56 left in the half. The scoring explosion wasn’t done yet with Joe Crawford putting ACGC back up seven with a 38-yard run with 5:09 left in the half. IKM-Manning got good field position again, starting at the Chargers 47-yard line. Ben Langel scored his second rushing touchdown of the game, scoring from a yard out with 2:10 left in the half and the Wolves tied the game at 28. The Chargers scored twice in the final 2:10 of the half with Jathan South rambling 62-yards and South hitting Joe Crawford for a 10-yard touchdown pass with 0:17 left in the half. The two quick scores gave them momentum going into half, up 42-28.
Both defenses made nice adjustments at half with the Chargers holding the Wolves at bay. The Chargers stretched their lead to 49-28 in the 3rd quarter with a 4-yard run by Jathan South. South hit Eli Madsen for a 27-yard touchdown in the 4th to cap the scoring.
Ben Ramsey threw for 198-yards with a pair of touchdowns, making 8 tackles on defense. Ben Langel had 45-yards rushing with a pair of touchdowns. Langel added 8 tackles defensively. Davis Rasmussen caught 6 passes for 42-yards with a touchdown. Brock Kusel added 63-yards on 3 catches with a touchdown.
The Wolves fall to 2-4 overall and 1-4 in district play with a trip to Southwest Valley on Friday.
