The East Sac County Raiders get a big district win on the road as they beat Eagle Grove by 30-plus points. The Raider’s defense forced four turnovers in the win on Friday. The Raiders offense scored on two of their first three possessions as they quickly built a 14-0 lead over Eagle Grove. ESC would lead 14-0 going to the second quarter. Eagle Grove would cut into East Sac’s lead as they scored a touchdown early in the second quarter, scoring 14-6. The Raiders would add a couple of touchdowns themselves in the quarter as they took a 26-6 lead at the half. The Raiders defense pitched a shutout in the second half. Neither team scored in the third quarter as the Raiders held onto a 26-6 lead. In the fourth quarter, ESC added a couple more touchdowns, and they went on to win 38-6.
Sam Julin had a great game, throwing the football and running the ball in the win. Threw the air, Julin went 12-19 for 171 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, Julin added 47 yards. Landon Grindel was the Raiders leading rusher with 59 yards and two touchdowns. Grindel added another touchdown when Julin hit him for a 15-yarder. Asher Lawler and Kade Snyder led the team in tackles with 9.5 each. With the win, East Sac County moved to 3-3. The Raiders are back in action on Friday against Manson Northwest Webster.
