Volleyball Results Saturday, October 5th
Carroll At Greene County Tournament
Carroll dropped two of the three matches they played on Saturday, losing three sets by three points or less. The Tigers went 2-5 in sets, rallying to beat ACGC after dropping the first set 21-14. Carroll won the next two 21-15 and 15-8, earning a win over a good Chargers team. The match against Greene County was tight with the Rams earning a 21-18, 21-19 win. Carroll dropped the first set against Van Meter, losing 21-14, then played better in set two, losing 21-18.
Olivia Rowedder paced the offense with 25 kills with Katelyn Aden having 16 kills and Amanda Wardell with 10 kills. Emily Puck had 46 assists with Marasyn Wittrock leading the back row with 33 digs. Emily Puck had 12 digs and Olivia Rowedder and Bailey Bowman both finishing with 11 digs. Amanda Wardell had 5 blocks with Chloe Kock having 2 blocks. Emily Puck and Aubrie Drake led them with 2 aces each.
The Tigers fall to 15-15 overall and will head back into Raccoon River Conference action on Tuesday when they host Gilbert.

IKM-Manning At Tri Center Tournament
For a second straight weekend, IKM-Manning had a strong tournament, going 3-2 at Tri Center with wins over Westwood (21-14, 21-17), Atlantic (21-14, 21-18) and Lawton Bronson (17-21, 21-19, 15-5). They dropped matches to Red Oak (21-15, 21-17) and Tri Center (21-18, 21-14). They finished the tournament 6-5 in sets with a nice come from behind win over Lawton Bronson after dropping the first set, they dominated set three, continuing to show confidence in last set matches over the past two weekends. They controlled the match against a 17-5 Westwood team and battled hard in their two match losses.
Keagan Eischeid led them with 32 kills with Addisyn Bandow adding 23 kills. Grace Carroll had a strong tournament with 17 kills, 25 digs and a team high 7 blocks. Ella Langel added 11 kills and 4 blocks. Karlee Arp found six different girls had a kill with Karlee Arp having 67 assists. Anna Stangl had a team high 36 digs with a pair of aces with Keagan Eischeid adding 20 digs, 5 blocks and 4 aces. Karlee Arp added 18 digs with Olivia Linde having 17 digs. Katelyn Bandow finished with 3 blocks.
The Wolves sit 10-12 with a matchup at 2nd ranked Riverside on Tuesday.

Glidden Ralston At Riverside Tournament
Glidden Ralston faced four teams with a combined record of 79-22, going 0-4 in matches and 0-8 in sets. They finished the tournament 0-5 in matches but won a set against West Monona, falling (15-21, 21-13, 21-12). Their other losses came against 2nd ranked (Class 1A) Riverside, 17-8 and Fremont Mills, 14th ranked (Class 2A) Shenandoah and 14th ranked (Class 3A) Clarinda. They played well in the second set in losses to Clarinda and Fremont Mills, falling 21-18 in both.
Lauren Hulsing paced the Wildcats with 27 kills and 5 blocks while Ashlynn Tigges added 14 kills with a team high 36 digs. Kassidy Wenck finished with 12 kills and 28 digs along with a pair of blocks. MaKenna Wiederien had 46 assists along with a team high 5 aces and 11 digs. Allison Snyder had 33 digs, Olivia Squibb had 13 digs and Ally Sommerfeld finished with 21 digs.
The Wildcats fell to 6-11 on the season as they prepare to head to Ogden on Monday against Ogden, Des Moines Hoover and South Hamilton.
