South Central Calhoun was steady on Thursday, helping them earn a road sweep. They only trailed once and that was by 1-point in set three. The Titans built a lead in all three sets and kept that lead around two to six points most of the set. The Cougars were pesky, never going away as they kept going on mini runs to pull within a couple of points. The Titans were able to pull away late in sets one and two and took control of set three midway through to complete the sweep.
Brenna McAlister helped the Titans build a 5-0 lead in set one with her tough serve giving the Cougars issues. Manson NW Webster was out-of-system, sending free-balls to the Titans, who took advantage with Sadie Wheelock and Jayci Graeve both having a pair of early kills. Graeve finished the first set with 6 kills, doing a nice job of swinging and dropping balls over the block to score when the defense dropped back. Manson NW Webster kept battling, pulling within at 11-9 and 14-12 but the Titans held them off. The Cougars rallied again late, pulling within 20-18 after South Central Calhoun went up 20-14 on a kill by Kaitlyn O’Neill. Brenna McAlister took over down the stretch with a pair of kills, including the set ending kill as the Titans closed out the set on a 5-0 run.
South Central Calhoun went up 5-2 in set two with Jayci Graeve having a pair of kills. The Cougars fought back, tying the set at 12. Sadie Wheelock had a big kill, giving the Titans the momentum back and they maintained the lead the rest of the set with kills by Graeve, Brenna McAlister, Blair Schleisman and Norah Reidesel, who made it 24-18. Brenna McAlister ended the set with a kill after Manson NW Webster pulled within 24-20.
The Titans jumped out 4-0 in set three behind Brenna McAlister serve and a pair of kills from Jayci Graeve. Manson used a 5-0 run later in the set, taking a 7-56 lead but Kaitlyn O’Neill had a block to tie the match and Brooklyn Pruitt ace serve gave the Titans the momentum. They stretched the lead with back-to-back kills from Brenna McAlister and Maci Dorman serving an ace. The Titans went up 21-12 and won 25-17.
Jayci Graeve had 12 kills with Brenna McAlister adding 11 kills to led the Titans. Sadie Wheelock added 6 kills with Norah Reidesel passing for 29 assists. Alexa Holm paced the back row with 12 digs with Brenna McAlister adding 11 digs and Macie Dorman having 7 digs. Brooklyn Pruitt had a team high 3 aces.
The Titans improved to 23-8 overall and 7-1 in the Twin Lakes Conference and will host East Sac on Thursday on KIKD 106.7.

Coon Rapids Bayard was able to control the match, earning their 18th win of the season while Paton Churdan keeps improving, falling to 2-8 on the season. Malia Clayburg was strong at the net, leading the Crusaders with 16 kills while Amelia Cook continues to impress at setter with 22 assists. Mia Russell had a strong night in the back row for Paton Churdan, finishing with a team high 10 digs. The Crusaders serve created what they wanted, allowing them to get the Rockets out-of-system. They finished with 11 aces, led by Aubrey Hofbauer with 4 and Anna Hart with 3 aces. Hart added a team high 12 digs with Ella Heithoff adding 7 digs, Ashtyn Klocke had 4 kills with Maddy Mason adding 3 kills. Kaliyan Minnihan paced the Rockets with 2 kills.
Coon Rapids Bayard improves to 18-4 overall and 5-1 in the Rolling Valley Conference. Paton Churdan falls to 2-8 overall and 0-7 in the Rolling Valley. The Crusaders head to Boyer Valley on Tuesday while the Rockets head to Ar-We-Va on Thursday.

The East Sac County Raiders bounce back on Thursday as they pick up a conference win at home over Sioux Central. In every set, the Raiders were able to build a big lead due to mistakes and errors by Sioux Central. The first set started back and forth as it was tied eight different times. ESC took a 9-8 lead and never looked back, as they would go on to win 25-16. Ella Wilson, in the first two sets, played great in the back row, anticipating where the Sioux Central hitters were going to go. In the second set, the match was tied early, but the Rebels were able to build an early lead at 5-2. East Sac would come back and take a 12-11 lead. The Raiders would end the set on a 13-4 run to go on and win the second set 25-14.
The third set was the closest of the night, score-wise, but the Raiders were able to build an early lead of 7-6. ESC’s lead grew to 20-11 before Sioux Central went on a run to make it 23-21 in favor of the Raiders. East Sac would go on to win the set 25-21 and 3-0 over Sioux Central.
Jordin Carroll was great getting the Volleyball to the Raiders’ hits in the win, recording 30 assists. Addisen Ehler recorded a team-high 16 kills. Ella Wilson led the team in digs with 11. As a team, East Sac County picked up seven aces. With the win, the ESC moves to 17-8 and 7-2 in the Twin Lakes Conference. The Raiders are back in action next Thursday against South Central Calhoun.

Audubon got a huge home win on Thursday squeezing out wins in sets one and three before rolling in the fourth set. The Wheelers had to battle in the first set, struggling early to cover. Once they made an adjustment they were able to settle in a play well. That helped the offense get into a rhythm, hitting .182 for the match. After a tough loss in set two, losing 25-11 the team had to regroup and did a good job, fighting to take set three 25-23 as Harlow Miller and Anna Larsen helped set the mindset. Miller had a match high 27 kills while hitting .333 while Larsen had 37 assists to go with 17 digs and a pair of blocks. Miller added 13 digs, 2 blocks and 4 aces. The Wheelers serve helped them in key spots with Anna Larsen and Abby Wanser both adding a pair of aces. The Wheelers took the momentum of set three and cruised in the fourth set, winning 25-13. Kadence Brannan-Sporrer had a strong match with 7 kills and 12 digs with Abby Wanser adding 10 digs and Briley Belnap having 8 digs. Payton Gust chipped in with 9 digs.
The Wheelers snapped a 12 match losing streak, improving to 6-17 overall and 1-5 in the Western Iowa Conference. They travel to LoMa on Tuesday.

The IKM-Manning Wolves picked up a conference win at home on Thursday, beating Logan-Magnolia in four sets. The first set was close, but IKM-Manning won it by six points, picking up a 25-19 victory to take an early 1-0 lead. Logan-Magnolia made adjustments between sets. The second set was closer than the first. LoMa won the set by four points at 25-21 as they evened the match up at 1-1 with IKM-Manning. The Wolves cruised in the third set as they won 25-16 and regained the lead at 2-1. Logan-Magnolia tested IKM-Manning in the third set, but the Wolves went on to win 25-21 and the match 3-1.
Freshman Keagan Eischeid was outstanding at the net, recording a team-high 15 kills. Addisyn Bandow was second on the team in kills with 11. Karlee Arp was great at distributing the ball to IKM-Manning’s hitters, recording 29 assists in the win. As a team, the Wolves collected 65 digs. Grace Carroll had a team-high 16 digs. With the win, IKM-Manning moves to 7-10. The Wolves are back in action on Saturday at the Tri-Center tournament.

Exira-EHK knocked off Glidden-Ralston at home as the Spartans continued to play well down the stretch of the season. The first set was not really competitive as Exira-EHK would cruise to a win 25-11, taking an early 1-0 lead. The Wildcats made adjustments in set two. Exira-EHK would come out with a nine-point win with a 25-16 victory in set two over Glidden-Ralston. The third set was the best of the match, as it was close throughout. The Spartans would come away with a win 25-20 and go on to beat Glidden-Ralston 3-0 on Thursday.
For Exira-EHK, Jaelynn Petersen led the way at the net with 19 kills. Petersen also added four blocks defensively in the win. Taryan Petersen recorded 10 kills for the Spartans. Brooklyn Flathers led the team in assists with 16. The Wildcats struggled offensively, only recording two as a team. Ashlynn Tigges recorded a team-high ten digs in the loss. Lauren Hulsing picked up two blocks for the Wildcats.
With the win, Exira-EHK moves to 10-3 and 5-1 in the Rolling Valley Conference. The loss drops Glidden-Ralston to 6-6 and 2-4 in conference play. The Spartans are back in action on Tuesday against CAM. The Wildcats return to the court on Saturday at the Riverside tournament.

The Ar-We-Va Rockets played one of their best matches of the season against West Harrison on Thursday. The Rockets are still searching for their first win of the season. All of the sets were close, and four of the five were decided by five or fewer points. The Rockets would drop the first set 25-20 as they fell down early 1-0 to West Harrison. Ar-We-Va responded in the second set as they would come away with a 25-22 win evening the sets up a one-a-piece. The third set was the closest of the night. The Rockets would go on to lose the third set by two 25-23. In the third set, West Harrison was able to build and lead, winning 25-18 and 3-1 over Ar-We-Va.
Amber Ragaller was great as a setter in the match, recording 28 assists in the loss. Hallie McCollough and Annalee Wittrock each led the team in kills with seven. As a team, the Rockets recorded 88 digs. Emma Leiting led the team in digs with 28. With the loss, Ar-We-Va falls to 0-18. The Rockets are back in action on Tuesday against Woodbine.
