The Carroll Tigers were able to bounce back in three three as they led the whole game against Denison-Schleswig. The Tigers received the opening kickoff and marched down the field as they ran the ball six times, capping off a touchdown drive to take an early 8-0 lead. Carroll only threw the ball five times in the win. Carroll would add another rushing touchdown in the first quarter as they would take a 15-0 lead going to the 2nd. The second quarter was great for Carroll as they added three touchdowns. The big play of the quarter was a blocked punt that was recovered in the endzone for a touchdown for Carroll by Cayden Lueders. The Tigers would take a 38-0 lead at the half. With the running clock on during the second half, only ten total points were scored. In the third quarter, Carter Essick found Owen Klocke on a 65-yard touchdown pass as Carroll would lead 45-0 going to the fourth. Denison-Schleswig added a field goal in the fourth, but the Tigers would go on to win 45-3.
Carter Essick was 2-5 for Carroll, throwing for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Owen Klocke was the leading receiver with two catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Carroll ran the ball for over 11 yards a carrier. Taidyn Peterson was the leading rusher on 12 carriers for 163 yards with a couple of touchdowns. Reece Ziegmann also added a rushing touchdown on 48 yards. Michael Rowedder was the Tigers leading tackler in the win with 6.5. Quinten Polking, Gavin Holt, Edrik Heisterkamp, and Ziegmann each added 5.5 tackles for the Tigers. With the win, Carroll improves to 2-1. They are back in action Friday against 0-3 Creston on KIKD 106.7.
