Audubon held Exira-EHK to 61-yards of total offense while racking up 354-yards, moving to 3-0 on the season. The Wheelers poured in 24-points in the 1st quarter and never looked back. They ran the ball well, finishing with 209-yards and five rushing touchdowns. Audubon had seven different players carry to the ball, averaging 8.7-yards per carry, while Carson Wessel and Aiden Kjergaard combined to go 5-9 passing for 145-yards and another four touchdowns.
The Wheelers were explosive early, scoring 0:56 into the game when Aaron Olsen scampered 45-yard for a touchdown. Olsen added his second touchdown of the game with a 49-yard catch from Cason Wessel with 4:04 left in the 1st quarter. The Wheelers were up 16-0 and just getting started. Carson Wessel hit Aaron Olsen for their second touchdown connection with 0:02 left in the 1st quarter. This time Olsen scored from 25-yards. Olsen continues to set up the Wheelers with an interception on defense, returning it to the 39-yard line. Carson Wessel found Austin Christensen on the next play for a 39-yard touchdown and the Wheelers were in control, up 30-0 with 8:41 left in the half. After another stop by the defense, special teams blew the game completely open with Jack Stanerson returning a blocked punt by Ely Jorgensen 40-yard for a touchdown. The Wheelers led 36-0 at half, building the lead to 50-0 after three quarters. Colin Hartl scored on a 4-yard touchdown run early in the 4th quarter as the Wheelers were able to get seven different players a carry. Aiden Kjergaard scored on a 28-yard run and Mason Kasperbauer ran for a 27-yard touchdown late in the game.
Aiden Kjergard paced the running game with 93-yards and a pair of touchdowns. Mason Kasperbauer and Aarson Olsen both had 47-yards on the ground with a touchdown each. Carson Wessel threw for 133-yards on six attempts, three going for touchdowns with Aaron Olsen scoring on both of his catches for 74-yards and Austin Christensen adding a 39-yard touchdown catch. Jack Stanerson returned a blocked punt 40-yards for a touchdown.
The Wheelers are 3-0 overall and 1-0 in 8-Man District 9. They travel to St Edmond on 93.7 KKRL on Friday.
