Kuemper cruised to a sweep with a strong game at the net, service line and in the back row. The defense limited Denison Schleswig to single digits in the opening set and to 10-points in the final two sets. The Knights serve was tough, finishing with 23 aces with Elsa Tiefenthaler leading them with 9 aces and Karsyn Overmohle adding 7 aces. They were balanced at the net with Kolbi Peter having a team high 8 kills and Alivia Schenkelberg finishing with 7 kills. Brianna Wittrock had 6 kills and Zoe Brunning had 4 kills. Brianna Wittrock was just as good defensively at the net with 6 blocks and Alivia Schenkelberg adding 3 blocks. Elsa Tiefenthaler paced the setters with 14 assists and Karsyn Overmohle adding 10 assists. The back row wasn’t pushed real hard but had a strong match led by Kaylie Simons with 5 digs and Brianna Wittrock and Brooke Rohe each with 3 digs.

Kuemper handed Clarinda just their second loss of the season as the Knights improved to 13-0 on the season with a 3-1 win on the road. The Knights took the early lead, winning set one, but dropped the second set in extra play, losing 28-26. They responded with a pair of tight wins in sets three and four to remain unbeaten. Their serving was again crucial, finishing with 17 aces with Brianna Wittrock pacing them with 5 and Karsyn Overmohle and Kolbi Peter both having 4 aces. Freshman Mariah Heuton was outstanding at the net, hitting 29 of 36 attempts to lead the Knights with 14 kills. Brianna Wittrock and Alivia Schenkelberg both had 6 kills. The Knights had 37 kills as a team. Kaylie Simons was terrific in the back row with Brooke Rohe having another strong night. Simons had a team high 22 digs with Rohe adding 10 digs. Those two received help from Elsa Tiefenthaler with 10 digs and Brianna Wittrock adding 8 digs. Tiefenthaler had a team high 17 assists and Karsyn Overmohle added 15 assists. Brianna Wittrock, Zoe Brunning and Alvia Schenkelberg all had 3 blocks.
The Knights improved to 12-0 overall and will head to South Central Calhoun Tournament on Saturday.

The Carroll Tigers fell on the road at ADM as they were swept in three straight sets on Tuesday night. The first set was the closest of the three, as it was back and forth. Carroll would ultimately go on to drop it 25-21. Emily Puck did a nice job of spreading the ball around to all the Tiger hitters during the match, as she averaged just over five assists a set. In the second set, ADM would come out on top as they won 25-17 and took a 2-0 lead over Carroll. The Tigers had six different girls record a kill on Tuesday. In the third set, Carroll would play better but would fall 25-18 and lose 3-0 to ADM.
Katelyn Aden led the Tigers in kills with nine. Emily Puck recorded a team-high 15 assists. Olivia Rowedder, Amanda Wardell, and Analia Ayala each recorded three kills. As a team, Carroll recorded 20 kills. Marasyn Wittrock and Rowedder had a team-high ten digs in the loss. The Tigers also recorded ten blocks as a team. With the loss, Carroll falls to 5-3 on the season. The Tigers are back in action on Saturday at the SCC tournament.

IKM-Manning earned a win in their season opener topping Ar-We-Va in two sets in the first match of a triangular. The Wolves served well and won several long rallies, getting a good match at the net from Grace Carroll and Keagan Eischeid. Ar-We-Va showed improvement from this past weekend with Annalee Wittrock having success in the middle and Ar-We-Va led early in set two.
Karlee Arp started the match with an ace serve and IKM-Manning went up 2-0 before kills from Grace Carroll and Keagan Eischeid extended the lead to 4-1. The lead grew to 6-2 on back-to-back kills from Keagan Eischeid and Ella Langel. Ar-We-Va battled back, pulling within 7-4 but Grace Carroll had a pair of kills to keep the Wolves in front. Hallie McCollough pulled the Rockets within 8-6 with a kill but the Wolves staved off every rally. Grace Carroll served an ace, making it 11-6 but Amber Ragaller had an ace, pulling the Rockets within 13-9. McKenna Benton went on a service run for IKM-Manning, adding an ace and helping the Wolves stretch the lead to 17-12. Keagan Eischeid put the set out of reach with a pair of aces and a kill, pushing the lead to 22-13. Anna Stangl ended the set with an ace, giving the Wolves a 25-15 win.
Set two went back and forth early with Ar-We-Va going up 4-3 but Keagan Eischeid had a kill, followed by a kill from Grace Carroll, putting the Wolves up 5-4. Ar-We-Va tied the set at 5 but IKM-Manning went on a 11-1 run with Anna Stangl had three straight aces. Annalee Wittrock stopped the run with a kill but the Wolves stayed in control, ending the match with a 25-18 win.
Grace Carroll led IKM-Manning with 8 kills with Anna Stangl adding 11 digs and 5 aces. Keagan Eischeid had 4 kills and a pair of aces with Karlee Arp dishing out 14 assists.

Ar-We-Va controlled the first set but Exira-EHK rallied to take the match, winning sets two and three, pulling away late in the final set to win 15-10. The Rockets used the momentum of playing the opening match and led most of the first set, getting up six midway through the set before Exira-EHK rallied to tie the set at 16 and 17 but Ar-We-Va settled in and Jazmine Molina putting them up for good with an ace. The Spartans went up early in set two, leading 2-0 but Ar-We-Va grabbed an 8-7 lead with a Jazmine Molina ace. Exira-EHK went back on top 9-8 and stretched the lead on ace serves from Taryn Petersen. Ar-We-Va tied the set at 17 and 18 but the Spartans scored seven of the last nine points to win. The final set was tight until the late with Exira-EHK closing the match on a 5-1 run to win 15-10.
Ar-We-Va scored first by Jaelynn Petersen and Zoey Rasmussen had back-to-back kills and Exira-EHK took a 2-1 lead. Gabrielle Hundling tied it a 2 with her first kill and the Rockets went back up 4-3. The stretched the lead to 8-4 but Brooke Flathers pulled the Spartans within 8-6. Ar-We-Va staved off the rally, going up 10-6 but Taryn Petersen had a Spartan kill. Anna Stangl extended the Wolves lead to 11-7 and the Rockets went up 13-7. Ar-We-Va maintained the lead before Taryn Petersen had back-to-back kills to tie the set at 16. The Rockets responded and Jazmine Molina had an ace and they led 18-17. Morgan Berg pushed the Rockets lead to 21-16, followed by an ace from Molina and a kill from Annalee Wittrock. Hallie McCollough had a kill to end the set.
Riley Miller served the Spartans to a 2-0 lead in set two but Ar-We-Va tied it at 2-2. Jaelynn Petersen had a kill, edging the Spartans ahead 4-3. Hallie McCollough tied it at 7 with a kill and Jazmine Molina served an ace to give the Rockets an 8-7 lead. Taryn Petersen tied it for Exira-EHK with a kill and the Spartans went up 9-8. Taryn Petersen had a pair of aces and the Spartans were in control, up 12-8. Ar-We-Va fought back with Morgan Berg pulling them within 13-12, then Jazmine Molina had back-to-back aces and Ar-We-Va led 14-13. The Rockets went up 16-13 but Exira-EHK battled back with Taryn Petersen tying it at 17 and 18 before her next kill put them up 19-18. The Spartans scored six of the last eight points and the Spartans sent it to a 3rd set.
The final set changed leads four times with Mayne Jorgensen ace putting the Spartans up 9-8. Ar-We-Va tied the set at 9 but Taryn Petersen had a kill to put Exira-EHK up 10-9. Brooklyn Flathers had a kill and Riley Miller served an ace for match point, putting the Spartans up 14-10.

IKM-Manning finished their night 2-0 in matches with a three set win over Exira-EHK in a match where both teams hustled and kept the ball alive with several long rallies. The Wolves rallied in sets one and three while Exira-EHK controlled the late part of set two. Grace Carroll had an ace in set one, giving the Wolves a 23-22 lead after trailing 20-17 on back-to-back kills from Jaelynn Petersen. The Wolves held off the Spartans who tied the set at 24 with Keagan Eischeid ending it with a kill. The Spartans took the lead for good in set two, going up 11-10, after falling behind 10-9 on an Anna Stangl ace. Taryn Petersen kept the Spartans in the lead with Zoey Rasmussen getting a late ace. Exira-EHK took a 4-3 lead in set three, getting up 7-4 on a Jaelynn Petersen ace but IKM-Manning rallied, tying it with an Addisen Bandow kill and taking an 9-8 lead on a kill by Grace Carroll. The Spartans tied it at 9 but the Wolves edged away, ending the match on a Keagan Eischeid kill.

Ella Langel had a kill followed by Grace Carroll and two kills from Keagan Eischeid as the Wolves went up 6-4. Anna Stangl had an ace to stretch the Wolves lead to 10-6. The Spartans rallied and tied it at 11 with a kill from Taryn Petersen before taking a 12-11. They extended their lead to 20-17 on a kill from Jaelynn Petersen. Keagan Eischeid rallied the Wolves with a kill and an ace but the Spartans held a 21-19 lead. Addisyn Bandow cut it to 22-21 with a kill and Katelyn Bandow tied it with a kill. Grace Carroll served an ace and the Wolves took the lead on their way to a 26-24 win on a kill by Keagan Eischeid.

The Spartans went on top 6-5, stretching it to 8-5 with an ace from Zoey Rasmussen. The Wolves fought back with Karlee Arp tying it at 8 with a kill. Anna Stangl had an ace and IKM-Manning went up 10-9 but the Spartans scored three straight to lead 12-10. Katelyn Bandow tied the set at 12 but a 4-0 run by the Spartans put them in control. The Spartans stretched the lead to 22-16 on an ace from Zoey Rasmussen.

Grace Carroll tied it at 4 with a kill and Mayne Jorgensen gave the Spartans a 5-4 lead with a kill. A Jaelynn Petersen ace pushed the Spartans lead to 7-4 but IKM-Manning rallied and Addisyn Bandow tied it at 8 with a kill. Grace Carroll put the Wolves on top for good with an ace. Exira-EHK pulled within 10-9 and 11-10 but the Wolves got a pair of great serves from Olivia Linde and Keagan Eischeid ended the match with a kill.
Karlee Arp had a strong match setting with 22 assists to go with 5 digs for IKM-Manning. Keagan Eischeid and Addisyn Bandow were huge at the net with Eischeid finishing with 9 kills along with 8 digs and 3 aces. Bandow added 5 kills and a pair of blocks. Anna Stangl had a team high 17 dig with Grace Carroll adding 9 digs and 5 kills.

Audubon and Glidden-Ralston traveled to Madrid on Tuesday night as they played a back-and-forth, exciting three-set match. The first set went to extra points. The Audubon Wheelers came away with a first-set victory in a back-and-forth 23-21 win to take an early 1-0 lead. The Wildcats fixed mistakes made in the first set and played with energy as they would tie the match up with a set two victory 21-19. Audubon controlled the third set as they would pick up a match victory with a 15-8 win.
Anna Larsen had an outstanding match setting the volleyball for the Wheelers, who recorded a team-high 26 assists. Harlow Miller led the Wheelers in kills with 18. Kadence-Brannan-Sporrer, Abby Wanser, and Alissa Testroet each had three kills. In the win, Audubon also recorded nine aces as a team. Lauren Hulsing led the way for Glidden-Ralston with eight kills. Ashlynn Tigges and Kassidy Wenck each recorded four kills. Amelia Garrett picked up 19 assists for the Wildcats.

The Audubon Wheelers go 2-0 at Madrid as they pick up a comfortable win in a sweep of Madrid on Tuesday. Audubon crushed in the first set, picking up a dominant 21-5 victory to take a 1-0 lead. The second set was closer, but Audubon still came away with a comfortable 21-13 win, beating Madrid by 2-0. Five different Audubon players recorded a kill in the win. Harlow Miller recorded a team-high seven kills. Kadence-Brannan-Sporrer picked up six kills for the Wheelers. Anna Larsen recorded a team-high 15 assists. As a team, Audubon recorded four blocks and ten aces. With both wins Audubon improves to 5-4 on the season. The Wheelers are back in action on Thursday against Tri-Center.

Glidden-Ralston also won the second set by double digits, picking up a 21-11 win over Madrid. The Wildcats would pick up a 2-0 win to go 1-1 at Madrid. Allison Snyder recorded a team-high four kills in the win. As a team, Glidden-Ralston only recorded eight kills. Amelia Garrett picked up a team-high eight assists. Garrett also picked up a team-high five digs. With the win, Glidden-Ralston improved to 2-1. The Wildcats are back in action on Thursday against Paton-Churdan on 93.7 KKRL.
