Despite dealing with a critical injury, the Ar-We-Va Rockets picked up a week one win at Exria-EHK. With over ten minutes left in the first quarter, Wyatt Ragaller of Ar-We-Va scored the first points with a 21-yard touchdown run to give the Rockets an early lead. Ar-We-Va would lead 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. Ar-We-Va would extend their lead in the second quarter. Jonathan Riesselman came in to play quarter late in the first quarter and hit Wade Ragaller for an 11-yard touchdown to extend the Rockets lead. As the second quarter was winding down, Riesselman added a 63-yard rushing touchdown to his stats to give the Rockers a 20-0 lead at the half. The Rockets defense was excellent all game. Late in the third quarter, Ar-We-Va scored again on a rushing touchdown from Wyatt Ragaller, scoring 28-0. The Rockets would add another touchdown in the fourth quarter as they would go on to win 34-0.
Jonathan Riesselman was 9-12 for 107 yards through the air with a couple of touchdowns. Riesselman added 86 yards on the ground with another score. Wyatt Ragaller carried the ball ten times for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Ragaller was also the Rockets leading receiver, with four catches for 43 yards. Senior Aiden Blackman recorded one catch for 35 yards and a touchdown. Devon Ehlers was outstanding on the defensive end of the football with 13.5 tackles. Wade Ragaller added 12.5 tackles for the Rockets. With the win Ar-We-Va improves to 1-0 on the year. The Rockets are back in action on Friday against Glidden-Ralston on 93.7 KKRL.
