Carroll, Iowa — After an illustrious 24-year career dedicated to the sport of baseball, Coach
Randy Snyder has announced he is stepping down as head coach of Kuemper Catholic High
School]. With a legacy of excellence and a passion for developing talent, Coach Snyder leaves
behind a remarkable record and a profound impact on the community.
Coach Snyder served 17 years as the head coach and 6 years as the Junior Varsity (JV) coach,
amassing a career record of 374-211. Under his leadership, Kuemper Catholic achieved 12
district titles, made 7 state tournament appearances, and secured 3 runner-up finishes. His
coaching tenure also includes a year as an assistant coach, contributing to one additional
runner-up finish and a 6-1 record in the opening round of the state tournament.
Coach Snyder’s tenure is highlighted by an impressive .634 winning percentage and 11 seasons
with 20 or more wins. His exceptional leadership earned him the District Coach of the Year
award 6 times and the CYO Coach of the Year accolade twice. His strategic expertise and
dedication were further recognized with his selection as an assistant coach for the 2024 All-Star
Series.
Among his many accomplishments, Coach Snyder guided his teams to 2 Hawkeye 10
Conference titles and 3 runner-up finishes, exemplifying his consistent excellence in a highly
competitive environment.
