Congratulations to Cal Heydon of the Coon Rapids-Bayard baseball team on being named the baseball player of the year. In his sophomore season, Heydon showed great power for the plate, hitting .489 with four home runs, 19 doubles, and three triples. He recorded 46 hits for the plate for the Crusaders. Heydon posted the lowest ERA on the team at 1.91 while recording a 6-0 record with 89 strikeouts.
