Chariton got the start the needed taking on the top seeded Eagles. They  scored 5-runs on two big Eagle errors with 4 hits. Mason Boothby replaced  Jack Van Fossen on the hill, allowing one hit but getting them out of trouble. Keagan Evans had a big 2 RBI double as the ninth batter of the inning as the Chargers batted ten and led 5-0. Garrett Luett led off the bottom 1st for Underwood with a single and Jack Van Fossen reached on a fielder’s choice, but the Eagles didn’t score.

Underwood missed an opportunity to cut into the deficit, getting a leadoff double from Gus Bashore in the bottom 2nd but strand two on base. Connor Shore singled to left field with a runner on 1st base for Chariton in the top 3rd but the Eagles hold with a pair of groundouts and a strikeout to end the threat with two on base. Underwood scored a pair on with two hits in the bottom 3rd. Mason Boothby stole 3rd and the ball went into the left field corner allowing him and Jack Van Fossen to score as he was stealing 2nd and came in to score from 1st base. Underwood trailed 5-2 going top 4th.

Chariton builds on their lead in the top 4th, collecting three hits, scoring a pair of runs. Brock Oxenreider and Kasyn Page both had RBI singles in the inning, pushing the lead to 7-2. Underwood stranded a runner on 1st base in the bottom 4th and Chariton kept the momentum.

The top seeded Eagles tied the game in the bottom 5th, collecting five hits, scoring 5-runs with the lead run thrown out at home to end the inning. The first-four batters reached base with Garrett Luett singling to start the inning. They scored the four of the first-five batters in the inning. Chariton nearly responded in the top 6th, leaving a runner on 3rd base. Game remains tied at 7.

Mason Boothby walked to lead off the bottom 6th, stealing 2nd base. He scored on a single to right field by Ryker Adair. Underwood took their first lead of the game, up 8-7.  Chariton had the tying run on 3rd base in the top 7th with 1-out. Kasyn Page doubled and moved to 3rd on a groundout. Connor Shore walked but the game ended on a fly ball to centerfield.

Underwood advances into the championship game on Friday.
