Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll Softball Falls At DC-G on Saturday

It was a tough night for the Carroll softball team as Dallas Center-Grimes came out quickly, scoring 8-runs in the 1st inning, adding 7 more in the 2nd inning, earning a 15-0 win in 3 innings. Carroll had a runner get on base in all 3 innings but couldn’t string hits together. Parker Adams opened the game betting hit-by-pitch and moved to 2nd base on  a sac bunt by Averi Burke. Carroll had a runner in scoring position in the 1st inning but stranded Adams. Jersey Sporrer had a nice 2-out single in the 2nd inning but was stranded at 1st base and Parker Adams walked in the 3rd inning. Bailey Bowman ran for Adams and moved to 2nd base on a Kloee Jones sac bunt but was stranded at 2nd when the game ended. Dallas Center-Grimes had 4-hits in the 1st inning and 7-hits in the 2nd inning, highlighted by a 2-run home run by Aubrey Johansen.

Jersey Sporrer finished the game 1-1 for the Tigers, which wrapped up their season at 8-24.
