Kaylie Diercksen finished off a strong game with a walk off single to right field, driving in Chloe Gehling from 3rd base as Kuemper pulled out a tight win against Ogden on a night Myli Schaefer became the season and all-time strikeout leader in Kuemper history. The Knights nearly had the game slip away late as Ogden scored 3-runs in the top 7th and had the lead run at 3rd base. Myli Schaefer struck out a Bulldog for the 2nd out, then induced a ground ball back to the circle to strand the runner at 3rd. That set up the bottom 7th with Kuemper having their 2, 3 and 4 hitters scheduled. Allison Ostrander reached on an error and Charlotte Schwabe bunted, moving Ostrander to 3rd base. Chloe Gehling came in to run for Schwabe at 1st base. Ellie Sibbel hit a grounder on the infield and Ostrander was thrown out at home. Gehling moved to 3rd base with Kaylie Diercksen due up. Diercksen singled to right field, scoring Gehling to win the game.

Ogden rallied in the 6th inning but Kuemper got out of trouble with limited damage done. The Bulldogs loaded the bases with an error, single and a fielder’s choice. A walk scored a run but two fielder’s choices and a popup to first base held them to 1-run. They gave themselves another chance in the 7th and this time they responded. Ogden had the first-four batters reach base, scoring a run. A groundout scored a second run and a wild pitch tied the game at 7. That set up the Knights and Kaylie Diercksen in the bottom 7th.
