The game was played in runs as the East Sac County Raiders picked up a nonconference win over Glidden-Ralston on Tuesday. The Raiders worked out of a jam in the first inning as Glidden-Ralston stranded a run at third base. In the home half, ESC took advantage of free bases as they plated on run to take a 1-0 lead. Bradyn Burns led the first inning off with a single and came around to score. The Raiders lead would grow in the second inning as they plated three runs. In the inning, ESC worked three walks and was hit by two pitches as the lead would move to 4-0. The Raiders were patient at the plate most of the night as they would grow their lead to 6-0. In the fifth inning, Glidden-Ralston was able to get a run back as they cut into the ESC lead. Dawson Majerus recorded an RBI single as the Wildcats would trail 6-1 going to the sixth inning. In the top of the sixth, Glidden-Ralston exploded for four runs on a hit. In the inning, Glidden-Ralston worked two walks and was hit by two pitches.
Both teams combined for ten hits. East Sac out-hit Glidden as they recorded six hits. Bradyn Burns went 2-3 with an RBI. Mason Carlson went 1-3 with an RBI. Luke Wright, Karter Ludwig, and Luek Wernimont recorded the other hits for the Raiders. Glidden-Ralston picked up four hits as a team. Landon Rohrbeck went 2-4 with an RBI. Dawson Majerus was 1-2 with two RBI. Collin Sturm recorded the other hit for the Wildcats. Bradyn Burns picked up the win for ESC, pitching three innings, giving up two hits, and striking out one Wildcat hitter. Blayce Nelson picked up the loss for Glidden-Ralston, going one-plus inning and giving up four runs. Glidden-Ralston will be back in action against Audubon on Wednesday. East Sac County is back in action on Saturday against Missouri Valley.
