Kuemper’s bats stayed warm on Tuesday, finishing with 13-hits in a road win against Denison Schleswig. They had baserunners in every inning, scoring in the 1st, 2nd and 5th innings. Carter Putney was sharp on the hill, allowing 6-hits while striking out 9.

Carter Putney singled to start the game, scoring later in the inning on an error. Evan Loew extended the lead to 2-0 in the 1st inning, waling and scoring on a single by John Boes. They pushed the lead to 5-0 in the top 2nd with a 1-out single from Mason Knerl, followed by a double from Carter Putney. Benicio Lujano singled to score Knerl, then Evan Loew singled to score Putney. Lujano pushed the lead to 5-0, scoring on an error off the bat of Tristan Janson. Denison Schleswig threatened in the 1st, having a runner thrown out as home trying to steal. They stranded two in the 1st inning. They cut into the Knights lead with a pair of runs in the 2nd inning. The Monarchs stranded two runners on base in the 3rd. A 1-out single from Josh Langel jump started Kuemper in the 5th. Charles Mayhall doubled and Mason Knerl drove in Langel with a ground ball to 2nd base. Carter Putney picked up his third hit with a single to score Mayhall. The Knights were up 7-2 going into the 7th. Denison Schleswig scored a run but stranded three guys on base to end the game.

Carter Putney had 3 hits with an RBI. He got the win on the hill, allowing 6 hits in 6 2/3 innings with 2 earned runs and 9 strikeouts. Benicio Lujano had a pair of hits with an RBI and a run scored. Evan Loew added an RBI and John Boes and Mason Knerl both had 2 hits with Boes having an RBI and Knerl finishing with an RBI and scoring once. Logan Rial scored a pair of runs.

The win improves Kuemper to 12-14 overall. They host Glenwood for a doubleheader on Wednesday.

South Central Calhoun top four players in the lineup combined for 10 hits and scored 8-runs as the Titans were able to get on base and put pressure on the Rockets defense. They  were aggressive on the base paths, scoring on any Rocket mistake. Ar-We-Va did a nice job of getting out of trouble several times and shut down the Titans after the 2nd inning. South Central Calhoun scored 3-runs in the 1st and 2nd inning. They added a run in the 4th and the 6th innings but Blayne Smith did a nice job throwing strikes, allowing his defense to do their job behind him. The Titans took two bases on several steal attempts with Broke Nattress scoring all the way from 1st base on a steal attempt when the ball was hit into the outfield. The Rockets got on the board with a run in the 3rd, then scored another one in the 6th inning.

Andrew Anderson and Charlie Natrress both had 3 hits and were effective on the hill. Anderson had a double and scored 3-runs while earning the win on  the hill. He went 3 1/3 innings, allowing 1  hit and 1 earned run with 8 strikeouts. Charlie Nattreess had 2 RBI and pitched the final 3 2/3 innings, allowing 1 earned run with 2 strikeouts. Brock Nattress had 2 hits with a double and scored 3-runs. Cooper Nattress had a double, part of a 2 hit game and scored twice. Marshall Bundt had a pair of hits and an RBI.

Wade Ragaller had 2 hits with a triple and scored a run for Ar-We-Va and Grant Wilken had a base hit.

The Titans improved to 8-10 overall and will host East Sac on Friday. Ar-We-Va falls to 0-11 and hosts Boyer Valley on Wednesday.

IKM-Manning scored in each of the first-three innings, helping them win a shortened game due to the weather. The offense took advantage of six walks, to score 3-runs. Jace Starman and Bryc Summerfield had the Wolves two hits. Lane Sams collected an RBI on a ground out in the 1st inning, driving in Ross Kusel, who had walked. Tristan Barry reached on an error to lead off the 2nd inning, he scored on a ground out from Braden Fuchs. IKM-Manning got their leadoff runner on in the 3rd with Bryc Summerfield singling. He scored on a balk, giving the Wolves a 3-0 lead. The Spartans had a pair of chances early in the game, getting a runner on 3rd in the 1st inning and a runner thrown out at the plate and another stranded at 2nd in the 3rd inning. They got on the board with a solo home run in the 5th from Anthony Young.

Bryc Summerfield was 1-1 and scored a run. Jace Starman had a base hit and Brock Kusel earned the win, gong 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 earned run with 8 strikeouts.

The Wolves moved to 11-12 on the season and will host MVAOCOU on Wednesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard had a tough night at the plate, leaving eight guys on base in a road loss to Alta-Aurelia. The Warriors built and early lead, scoring a run in the 1st, two runs in the 3rd and three runs in the 4th inning, going up 6-0. The Crusaders were getting guys on bases, hitting three doubles, part of their five hits. They walked three times and had Jace Baker reach base being hit-by-pitch. They weren’t able to get the big hit with runners on base or string a few hits together. They scored in the 6th inning, pulling within 6-1 but Alta-Aurelia added a pair of runs in the bottom 6th.

Ty Heydon had a pair of doubles and Kolby Culbertson had a pair of hits with a double. Caden Oswald had a base hit and Parker Hays scored their lone run.

The loss drops the Crusaders to 15-10-1. They host Exira-EHK on Wednesday.
