East Sac struck early, building a 4-0 lead but Ar-We-Va rallied, scoring 5-runs in the 6th and the Rockets pulled out a big road win. The Raiders out hit the Rockets 7-3 but Ar-We-Va took advantage of a couple walks and a hit-by-pitch in the 6th inning.
Jamie Pierce singled and was driven in by Sarah Bontrager in the 1st inning as the Raiders grabbed an early lead. Gracie Snyder singled and scored on a double by Kendall Quirk in the 2nd inning. Quirk scored was driven in by Addisen Ehler and East Sac led 3-0 after 2 innings. The Raiders had three runners on in the 3rd and didn’t score, then left a runner on in the 4th. Ar-We-Va hung tough, giving their offense time to catch up with Miranda Gerdes, who was pitching well for East Sac. The Rockets had chances early, leaving a pair of runners on in the 2nd and 3rd innings. They finally broke through in the 6th. Delaney Schurke walked to start the rally. Mollie Leiting singled, driving in a run. Annalee Wittrock singled, scoring 2-runs and was followed by a hit-by-pitch from Hallie McCollough.Wittrock and McCollough both scored and the Rockets grabbed a 5-4 lead. The Raiders had a chance in the bottom of the 7th. Jen Aschinger reached on an error and Sarah Bontrager singled. Kamryn Ross was hit-by-pitch to load the bases with 2 outs but the Raiders weren’t able to score the tying run.
Annalee Wittrock had a pair of RBI and scored for Ar-We-Va helping Amber Ragaller earn the win in the circle. Ragaller went 7 innings, allowing 3 earned runs with 6 strikeouts. Gabrielle Hundling and Molloie Leiting both had a hit and an RBI with Leiting also scoring a run. Hallie McCollough was hit-by-pitch twice and scored a run.
Addisen Ehler led East Sac with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Kendall Quirk, Gracie Snyder, Sarah Bontrager, Jen Aschinger and Jamie Pierce all had a hit. Aschinger and Quirk both doubled with Quirk having an RBI and scoring. Bontrager drove in a run and Snyder and Pierce scored a run. Miranda Gerdes went 6 1/3 innings, allowing 1 hit and no earned runs with 8 strikeouts. She left the game in the 6th after taking a line drive to the shin but returned to pitch the 7th.
Ar-We-Va moves to 2-7 and will head to South Central Calhoun on Tuesday. East Sac falls to 8-12 and heads to Pocahontas Area on Wednesday.

Carroll kept battling and hit the ball well as they tried to rally against Boone on Monday. The Toreadors rolled early, scoring 6-runs in the 1st inning but Emma Danner and Bella Lu settled in the circle the rest of the game, the defense began to make plays and the offense warmed up as the game went on. Analia Ayala had a nice catch on a hard line drive to short and nearly turned it into a double play. Kloee Jones made a nice running catch on a ball lined to shallow centerfield. The Tigers offense ended the game with 13-hits with six different players having at least one hit and two players having three hits. The Tigers got on the board with a pair of runs in the 2nd inning, then answered the Toreadors 3-run 4th with 3 in the bottom of the 5th.
Emma Kuhlmann and Marin Overmohle both had 3 hits with Overmohle having an RBI and Kuhlmann scoring a run. Kloee Jones, Analia Ayala and Amanda Wardell all had 2 hits. Wardell scored twice with Jones and Ayala both scoring once. Bella Lu pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run.
The Tigers fall to 7-18 overall and 0-11 in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers host Ballard on Thursday.

Audubon earned another tough win on the road Monday, getting a big night at the plate from Addie Hocker and a strong pitching performance from Riley Miller. The Wheelers never trailed but weren’t able to put the game away until the 7th inning. They scored a run in the 1st inning, then added 2-runs in the 4th. Woodbine responded with a run in the bottom 4th and trailed 3-1. The Wheelers separated themselves in the 7th with 3-runs. Charlie Pryor hit a 2-run home run in the bottom 7th to give Woodbine hope.
Addie Hocker led the Wheelers offensive attack with a home run and a double. She finished with 3 RBI and scored twice. Gemini Goodwin added a pair of RBI on a base hit and Michelle Brooks and Riley Miller both had a base hit. Brooks scored a run. Riley Miller went the distance in the circle, allowing 7 hits and 2 earned runs with 12 strikeouts.
The Wheelers improved to 20-3, winning their 17th straight. They host CAM on Tuesday.

Glidden Ralston offense was in top form on Monday, scoring in every inning and erupting for 12-runs in the 4th inning. The Wildcats scored 4-runs in each of the first-two innings, adding 3 more in the 3rd. Boyer Valley rallied in the 3rd, scoring 3-runs to trail 11-4 going to the 4th. The Wildcats had eight hits but were able to battle for fifteen walks and four hit-by-pitches. The big 4th inning allowed them to end the game early.
Kassidy Wenkc had a team high 2 hits along with 2 RBI and 4-runs scored. Madilyn Trost and Tiela Janssen both scored 4-runs with Janssen adding an RBI. Jaelyn Subbert had their only extra base hit, a double and drove in a pair of runs. Subbert earned the win, going 4 innings with 6 hits and 5 strikeouts. She allowed 4 earned runs. Zoey Pemble scored 3 times and Ashlynn Tigges, Brenna Bowman and Kate Bergmeier both scored twice.
The win improves them to 8-9 overall and 4-2 in the Rolling Valley. They host Woodbine on Wednesday.

Clarinda built an early lead and cruised to a win in the first game of the doubleheader on Monday. They scored twice in the 1st inning, adding 3-runs in the 2nd to lead 5-0. Kuemper fought to within 5-2 with a pair of runs in the 4th. Charlotte Schwabe singled and Ellie Sibbel cranked a 2-run home run. Clarinda pushed the lead to 9-2 with 3-runs in the 5th inning. The Knights tried to rally in the 6th, getting four runners on base but they were only able to score 1-run on a Ally Sommerfeld single, scoring Sarah Batz.
Ellie Sibbel had a 2-run home run and Ally Sommerfeld and Charlotte Schwabe both had 2 hits with Schwabe scoring a run and Sommerfeld driving in a run.

The pair of losses drops the Knights to 12-10 as they prepare to head to Denison Schleswig on 93.7 KKRL on Tuesday.
