South Central held a lead early over Southeast Valley, but it slipped away as the game went on. Southeast Valley scored in every inning. They plated two runs in the top of the first inning to grab the lead at 2-0. At the bottom of the first inning, Jayci Graeve singled to start the inning. The next batter, Mady Smidt, doubled off the left-center field fence to bring in Graeve. Mia Babcock would walk to put two runners on base. Morgan McChesney would single, bringing in Smidt and Babcock, as SCC would take a 3-2 lead. Southeast Valley opened the game up in the second inning, taking an 8-3 lead. Eleven more runs came across in the third as SE Valley would go on to win 19-3.
As a team, the Titans recorded four hits. Mady Smidt went 1-2 with a double and an RBI. Morgan McChesney was 1-2 with two RBI. Jayci Graeve and Ryann Hungate recorded the other hits. Smidt picked up the loss in the circle, going two-plus innings, giving up nine hits, and striking out three SE Valley batters. With the loss, SCC falls to 1-13. The Titans are back in action on Monday against Emmetsburg.

The South Central Calhoun Titans went 0-2 in games played on Friday with a five-inning loss to Sioux Central. Sioux Central scored six runs in the top of the first inning to take a 6-0 lead. The Titans would never lead in the game, but they were able to score a run in the home half to cut the lead to 6-1. The Rebels added to their lead in the second, scoring four runs to lead 10-1. Neither team scored in the third inning. The Sioux Central lead grew to 15-1 in the fourth inning. South Central Calhoun added three runs in the home half to make the score 15-4. Seven runs came across for the Rebels in the fifth, and they would go on to win 22-4.
The Titans recorded five hits in the loss as a team. SCC also struggled defensively, making ten errors. Olivia Toms was 1-1 with a double. Shannon Melody, Jayci Graeve, Riley Jacobs, and Tori Best recorded the other hits for the Titans. Jacobs picked up the loss in the circle, going all five innings, giving up ten hits, and recording four strikeouts. With the loss, SCC fell to 1-14. The Titans are back in action on Monday against Emmetsburg.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders pick up a conference win over Ar-We-Va in a matchup of two local teams. The Crusaders led the whole game despite a late rally from Ar-We-Va. In the top of the first inning, CRB scored two runs to take an early 2-0 lead. Neither team scored in the second or third innings. The Crusader lead would grow in the fourth inning as they plated three more runs to take a 5-0 lead. One more run came across in the fifth as the score would move to 6-0 in favor of CRB. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ar-We-Va was able to plate four runs as the score would move to 6-4. Neither team scored in the seventh, and CRB would go on to win 6-4.
As a team, the Crusaders recorded 11 hits. Aubrey Hofbauer was 2-4 with a double and two RBI. Breeley Clayburg went 2-4 with an RBI. Maddy Mason and Mya Downing each recorded multi-hit games. Anna Hart, Brooklynn Burmeister, and Malia Clayburg recorded the other hits for the Crusaders. Hart picked up the win in the circle, going all seven innings, giving up one earned run on four hits while striking out seven Ar-We-Va batters.
Ar-We-Va only recorded three hits in the loss. Delaney Schurke picked up a double, going 1-2. Emma Leiting and Amber Ragaller recorded the other hits for the Rockets. Amber Ragaller picked up the loss in the circle for the Rockets.
With the loss, Ar-We-Va falls to 1-7. The Rockets are back in action on Monday against East Sac County. With the win, Coon Rapids-Bayard improves to 7-7. The Crusaders are back in action on Monday against CAM.

The Audubon Wheelers continued their impressive win streak with a five-inning victory over Tri-Center on Friday. The game remained scoreless, going to the second inning. Audubon scored two runs to take the lead at 2-0 in the top of the second inning. The Wheelers batted around in the top of the third as seven more runs came across to score, making the game a 9-0 ball game. Audubon added another run in the fourth inning, and they would go on to win 10-0. As a team, the Wheelers recorded nine hits. Michelle Brooks went 3-3 with a double and two runs scored. Mattie Nielsen and Riley Miller each went 2-4 with a run scored. Jordan Porsch and Alexis Obermeier recorded the other hits for the Wheelers. Audubon was patient at the plate and picked up seven walks. With the win, Audubon improves to 19-3 and has won 16 straight games. The Wheelers are back in action on Monday against Woodbine.

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats pick up an exciting win over Panorma on Friday with a walk-off finish in the seventh. The game started slow, as neither team scored in the first two innings. Glidden-Ralston led early, but Panorama would come back. In the bottom of the third inning, the Wildcats scored four runs to take an early 4-0 lead. Neither team scored in the fourth inning as the Wildcats still held on to a lead. In the top of the fifth inning, Panorama plated four runs to tie the game up at 4-4, which went to the sixth inning. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Elizabeth Lloyd hit a ground rule double that brought in the winning run to make the score 5-4.
As a team, the Wildcats recorded seven hits. Elizabeth Lloyd went 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Olivia Squibb also recorded a double in the win. Tiela Janssen, Ashlynn Tigges, Brenna Bowman, and Allison Snyder recorded the other hits for Glidden-Ralston. Jaelyn Subbert picked up the win in the circle, going seven innings, giving up six hits and zero earned runs while striking out seven Panorama batters. With the win, Glidden-Ralston improved to 7-9. The Wildcats are back in action on Monday against Boyer Valley.
