Jake McClure tripled in the 5th, scoring Justin Ricketts who had tripled moments before. That was the offensive highlight for Carroll in the nightcap of the doubleheader. The Merchants finished with 5 hits with back-to-back triples, but the McClure RBI was their only run, falling 6-1. Chillicothe took a 1-0 in the bottom 4th before taking control of the game with a 3-run 5th inning.
