It was an 8-inning thriller in Carroll on Tuesday night with Amanda Wardell coming up clutch for the Carroll Tigers driving in the game ending run with a single with 2-outs in the 8th inning. The Tigers looked like they would win the game in regulation but Kamryn Ross hits a 3-run bomb to tie the game in the 7th for East Sac. The Raiders took a lead in the 8th when Anna McCollough scored on a error. Parker Adams started the rally for Carroll with a 1-out double in the 8th, scoring on a ground out by Kloee Jones, after Adams had stolen 3rd. Analia Ayala singled and scored on a single to left by Amanda Wardell, giving Carroll an 9-8 win.
The Raiders struck first, scoring 4-runs in the 3rd inning, highlighted by a 2 RBI single from Makenna Steiger and a 2-run single by Kendall Quirk. Carroll quickly responded with a 3-run bottom of the 3rd. Bella Lu walked to start the inning and scored on a single by Parker Adams. Bailey Bowman ran for Adams and scored on a ground out by Analia Ayala. Kloee Jones beat out an infield single, moving Bowman to 3rd, then Adams scored on a RBI single from Emma Kuhlmann. Carroll grabbed their first lead in the 5th, scoring 4-runs on one hit. Amanda Wardell came through with a 2 RBI single to score Bailey Bowman and Kloee Jones. Emma Kuhlmann walked and scored later on a passed ball and Wardell came in to score on a wild pitch. Emma Danner made good work for Carroll in the 6th, allowing only one Raider on base before getting out of the inning. Carroll stranded Bailey Bowman at 2nd base in the 6th, sending the game to the 7th with Carroll up 7-4. Anna McCollough reached on an error, and Jade Gustavson singled. After a fly out to centerfield, Kamryn Ross sent a 1-2 pitch deep over the left field fence, tying the game at 7. Carroll had three runners get on base in the bottom 7th but East Sac turned a strikeout-tag out at 2nd base into a double play, sending the game to an 8th inning. Anna McCollough walked and worked around the bases on a pair of Raiders sacrifices. She scored on a Tiger error, giving East Sac an 8-7 lead. East Sac stranded Kamryn Ross at 2nd base, leaving their lead at one. Parker Adams started the Carroll rally and Amanda Wardell ended it with a sharp single to left field, scoring Analia Ayala from 2nd base.
Amanda Wardell went 2-4 for Carroll with 3 RBI. Parker Adams had 3 hits and scored the tying run in the 8th inning. Emma Kuhlmann and Analia Ayala both had an RBI and scored a run. Kloee Jones scored twice. Wardell added several tough running catches in foul territory in left field.
Kendall Quirk and Anna McCollough both had 2 hits for East Sac with Quirk knocking in 2-runs and McCollough scoring 3 times. Kamryn Ross hit a 3-run home run, finishing with 3 RBI. Makenna Steiger had a pair of RBI for the Raiders and Makenzie Friedman took the loss, pitching well, going 3 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 earned runs with 2 strikeouts.
The Tigers improved to 7-16 on the season and will head to Bondurant Farrar on Wednesday while East Sac falls to 6-10 and travels to Manson NW Webster on Wednesday.

LoMa At Audubon

LoMa 6
Audubon had to rally in the bottom 6th after giving up 4-runs in the top of the 6th. They were able to score 4-runs and then held LoMa in the 7th to win 7-6. The win isn’t just their 14th straight, it moves them to 12-1 in the Western Iowa Conference, giving them a full 2 game lead over Missouri Valley at the top of the league with 2 conference games left on the schedule.
Addie Hocker started the rally in the 6th inning with a single, Michelle Brooks followed with a single, putting two runners on with no outs. Gemini Goodwin reached on an error, scoring Addie Hocker and Michelle Brooks, pulling Audubon within 6-5. Taryn Petersen drove in Goodwin with a fly ball to right field, tying the game at 6. Mattie Nielsen advanced to 3rd on the play, Nielsen singled earlier in the inning. Jordan Porsch drove in Nielsen with a ground out. The run put the Wheelers up 7-6. LoMa got a runner at 1st but the Wheelers got the Panthers out, stranding the runner at 2nd.
The Wheelers opened the game with Lucy Stanerson scoring on a double by Riley Miller. LoMa tied the game at 1 in the 2nd inning. The Panthers took the lead in the 4th inning, scoring on a home run. Audubon responded right away, scoring a pair of runs in the bottom half. Alexis Obermeier and Anna Larsen had back-to-back singles. Both scored on a doubled by Gemini Goodwin, putting the Wheelers up 3-2.
Gemini Goodwin had a double with a pair of RBI and scored a run. Riley Miller had a double, driving in a run and earned the win, allowing 10 hits and 4 earned runs with 7 strikeouts. Addie Hocker had 2 hits, Mattie Nielsen and Michelle Brooks both scored a run and Taryn Petersen added RBI.
The Wheelers improved to 17-3 overall and 12-1 in the league. They travel to IKM-Manning on Thursday on on KIKD 106.7.

IKM-Manning had one of their most complete games of the season going into the 7th inning before things slipped away on Tuesday. The Wolves battled Treynor to a 3-3 tie through 6 innings, scoring a run in the 1st, 4th and 5th innings. The Wolves had two hits but found ways to manufacture runs. Anna Stangl doubled to score a run and Kamryn Ketchman drove in a run. Caylie Rasmussed twice used her track speed to score. The defense and pitching were strong, allowing Treynor to score a run in the 1st, then score 1-run in both the 2nd and 3rd innings. The Cardinal finished with 12 hits, most of those coming in the 7th inning. IKM-Manning had shut down the Cardinals from the 3rd inning on, rallying to tie the game at 3. Treynor erupted in the 7th, scoring 7-runs and holding on for a 10-4 win.
Anna Stangl had 2 hits for IKM-Manning, driving in a run and scoring a run. Caylie Rasmussen scored twice and Keagan Eischeid scored their other run. Kamryn Ketcham added and RBI. Ella Richards took the loss, going 7 innings, allowing 12 hits and 6 earned runs with 3 strikeouts.
The loss drops the Wolves to 2-20 on the season. IKM-Manning will host Audubon on Thursday on KIKD 106,7.
