The Merchants rallied to earn their second win in a row, scoring 3-runs in the 7th inning and 6-runs in the 8th inning in a 10-6 win. Clarinda built a 3-1 lead in the 3rd, answering Carroll’s run in the 2nd inning. The A’s added runs in the 5th and 6th inning to lead 5-1. Aiden Cizek scored in the 2nd inning to give the Merchants the lead, he began the rally in the 7th inning, scoring on a fielders choice by Arrington Eason. Bryce Hoskinson doubled, driving in Jake McClure and Jovan Suarez to pull the Merchants within 1. Carroll took their first lead since the 2nd inning in the 8th as they got a pair of runners on base with Aiden Cizek and Logan Harris scoring on a single by Dylan Shepherd. A Jake McClure single loaded the bases and Bryce Hoskinson was hit-by-pitch, scoring Suarez. They added to the lead with a single from Sammy Harris, scoring Jake McClure and Arrington Eason.
Bryce Hoskinson doubled and finished with 3 RBI. Dylan Shepherd had a pair of hits and 2 RBI. Sammy Harris drove in 2 RBI and Arrington Eason drove in a pair of runs and scored twice. Jae Kim went 3 innings for the win, allowing 1 hit and 1 earned run with 3 strikeouts.
The win improves them to 5-9 as they host St Josephs on the CB Sports Network YouTube Channel at 6:30 on Wednesday.
