The game featured a combined 51 hits and 33-runs with Storm Lake using a 9-run 4th inning to separate themselves and go on to win. The Tigers defense struggled in the 4th inning, allowing a bunch of unearned runs. Carroll finished the game with 7 errors, allowing 8-unearned runs. The offense nearly made up for the defensive woes, collecting 23 hits. They scored 5-runs in the 2nd inning to build a 6-3 lead. Storm Lake tied the game in the 3rd inning, then blew it open in the 4th inning. Carroll tried to rally but couldn’t make stops as Storm Lake scored in the final six innings.
Kloee Jones, Parker Adams and Emma Kuhlmann all had 4 hits. Jones scored twice, Adams doubled twice and drove in a pair of runs and Kuhlmann had a double and drove in 3 RBI. Analia Ayala and Bella Lu both had 3 hits with Ayala driving in 2 RBI and stole 3 bases while Lu doubled and scored twice. Kyla Owen scored three times.
The loss drops Carroll to 6-12. They head to Gilbert on 93.7 KKRL on Wednesday.

Lewis Central got a 1-out single and scored on an error with 2-outs in the bottom of the 8th to rally and defeat Kuemper 3-2. The Titans answered a Kuemper run in the top of the 7th with a run in the bottom half to send the game to extra innings. Both teams pitched well and put the ball in play. The Knights struck first in the 3rd inning, Kaci Peter had a bunt single and stole 2nd and 3rd base. She scored the first run of the game on a sac fly by Charlotte Schwabe. Lewis Central tied the game in the bottom 4th and it stayed that way until the 7th. Morgan Masching reached on a bunt single, stole 2nd and moved to 3rd on a Kaci Peter infield ground ball. Masching put the Knights ahead 2-1, scoring on a wild pitch. Kuemper had a chance in the 1st inning, putting three runners on base and having runners on 1st and 2nd with 2-outs. They left 2-runners on in the 3rd and stranded a runner on 2nd base in the 4th. Kaylie Diercksen walked in the 8th but was stranded at 2nd base.
Ellie Sibbel had a team high 2 hits with Charlotte Schwabe going 1-3 with an RBI, Kaci Peter had a hit, stole a pair of bases and scored a run. Morgan Masching had a base hit and scored. Mylie Schaefer took the loss, going 7 2/3 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 earned run with 10 strikeouts.

Kuemper took charge with a 5-run 4th inning, taking a 6-2 lead and cruised to an 11-4 win, earning a split of the varsity doubleheader. Kuemper batted through the order in the 4th, starting the inning with a double by Kaylie Diercksen, followed by singles from Kyla Wiskus and Morgan Masching. Wiskus picked up an RBI, knocking in Diercksen. Kaci Peter kept the rally going, collecting a single with 2-outs, scoring Masching before Melinda Schaefer tripled driving in Peter. Lewis Central scored twice in the bottom 5th but Kuemper answered with a pair of runs in the top of the 6th, Ellie Sibbel doubled to score Melinda Schaefer and Charlotte Schwabe. Allison Ostrander drove in a run with a single in the 7th inning as Kuemper stretched the lead with 3-runs. Charlotte Schwabe drove in a pair of runs, finishing with 4 RBI.
Melinda Schaefer, Charlotte Schwabe, Allison Ostrander and Kyla Wiskus all had 3 hits. Schaefer tripled and scored twice, Schwabe had 4 RBI, Ostrander drove in 2 RBI and scored twice and Wiskus scored a pair of runs. Ellie Sibbel had a double and 2 RBI, Kaci Peter scored a pair of runs and stole 3 base and Kaylie Diercksen had a double among her 2 hits. Charlotte Schwabe earned the win, going 7 innings, allowing 7 hits and 4 earned runs.
The Knights moved to 8-7 overall and will host Harlan on Thursday.

Audubon earned their 10th straight win, rallying with 3-runs in the bottom 6th to finish the season sweep of Treynor. Both pitchers controlled most of the game though both teams had a chance to score. The Cardinals had runners on 1st and 2nd in the 1st inning with 1-out but Riley Miller induced a couple popups to Taryn Petersen at shortstop. The Wheelers had the bases loaded in the bottom 1st but didn’t score, stranding all 3 girls on base. The Wheelers had a runner on 2nd base in the 2nd inning with 2 outs and stranded a runner on 1st base in the 3rd. Treynor got a 2-out single and stolen base in the 3rd but Riley Miller got a strikeout to end the inning, one of her 11 strikeouts in the game. The Cardinals finally broke through in the 4th inning. Adalyn Minahan led off with a double and scored on a ground ball in the infield, giving them a 1-0 lead. Miller got out of trouble with a strikeout and a nifty catch on a foul ball by Michelle Brooks at 3rd base. Treynor nearly extended the lead in the 6th inning. They had a runner on 3rd base with 2-outs and bunted the ball in the air up the 3rd base line. The ball went off the glove of Brooks, bouncing right to Jordan Porsch, the Wheeler catcher, who tagged the runner out trying to score. That energized Audubon at the plate. Alexis Obermeier had a leadoff walk, followed by a single from Taryn Petersen. Jordan Mulford, who was running for Obermeier took 3rd on the bunt and Petersen stole 2nd base to give Audubon runners on 2nd and d3rd with no outs. Michelle Brooks bunted and Treynor fielded it but threw it away looking to get Mulford at home. Taryn Petersen scored from 2nd base on the play, giving Audubon the lead at 2-1. A double to left-centerfield by Anna Larsen scored Brooks and Audubon led 3-1. Treynor got the tying run to the plate in the 7th but Jordan Porsch made a great diving catch on a foul ball up the 1st base line and Riley Miller induced a popup to Taryn Petersen with 2-outs to end the game.
Anna Larsen had a double and an RBI. Taryn Petersen singled and scored and Michelle Brooks had 2 RBI. Addie Hocker doubled to help Riley Miller, who earned the win, going 7 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 earned run with 11 strikeouts.
The Wheelers are 13-3 overall and 9-1 in the WIC. They head to Underwood on Thursday.

Glidden Ralston rolled on the road, collecting 13 hits to help them score 9-runs while Jaelyn Subbert struck out 15 while shutting out the Cougars. The Wildcats scored a pair of runs in the 1st inning, then blew the game open with a 5-run 3rd inning. They put the game away with a pair of runs in the 5th inning. They had four players with two or more hits along with a pair of extra base hits.
Jaelyn Subbert was dominant in the circle, allowing 2 hits while striking out 15 in her shutout win. She added a pair of hits at the plate, driving in a run. Kassidy Wenck had a team high 3 hits with a double and scored a pair of runs. Ashlynn Tigges and Olivia Squibb both had 2 hits. Tigges scored an RBI and scored a run while Squibb had 2 RBI and a run scored. Brileigh Bock had a triple and scored a run. Zoey Pemble scored a pair of runs.
The Wildcats improved to 4-7 and will head to Ar-We-Va on Wednesday.

IKM-Manning had five extra base hits among their nine hits overall as the offense played well. The defense committed 5 errors, leading to 9 unearned runs as they fell 2-14. The game was tied at 1 going into the 3rd inning but Tri Center scored 9-runs in the 3rd. IKM-Manning tried to answer, scoring 3-runs in the bottom 4th but the Trojans put the game out of reach with 4-runs in the 7th.
Anna Stangl hit a solo home run while Hannah McKinney tripled, driving in a pair of runs. Alikxa McGinn had a pair of hits, including a double, Keagan Eischeid had a pair of hits, Emma Branning doubled and Ella Richards also doubled and scored a run. Karlee Arp drove in a run.

Breeley Clayburg drove in Brooklyn Burmeister in the 1st inning as the Crusaders took at 1-0 lead. Grand View Christian responded in the 2nd inning, scoring 2-runs and lead 3-1 into the 6th inning when they scored 5-runs to earn the win. The Crusaders had a pair of chances with Anna Hart tripling in the 5th inning with 2-outs and Breeley Clayburg doubled in the 6th inning with 1-out but they couldn’t get the clutch hit with a runner in scoring position.
Anna Hart and Breeley Clayburg led the Crusaders with 2 hits each. Clayburg had a double and an RBI while Hart had a triple. Aubrey Hofbauer had a double as three of the Crusaders five hits went for extra bases. Anna Hart took the loss, going 7 innings, allowing 9 hits and 7 earned runs.

The Rams took charge early, scoring 5-runs in the 1st inning and East Sac wasn’t able to dig out of the hole, falling 9-2. Sarah Bontrager singled in the 3rd inning and scored their first run of the game. Jamie Pierce used a walk to lead off the 4th inning, scoring their other run. MVAOCOU used 3 hits and a pair of Raiders errors in the 1st inning, then added to their lead in the 6th inning getting three straight guys on base and all three scored with 1-out.
Kendall Quirk had 2 of the Raiders four hits. Anna McCollough and Sarah Bontrager both had a base hit with Bontrager scoring a run. Makenna Steiger drove in a run and Jamie Pierce scored a run.
The loss drops East Sac to 6-7 as they Raiders get ready to head to SE Valley on Wednesday.
