Jefferson City took charge early, scoring 9-runs in the 1st inning as the Merchants struggled on the mound. A pair of walks and a hit-by-pitch that came after there were 2-outs set up the big inning. Jefferson City scored 9-runs on 1-hit with no errors. The big hit came late in the inning with a double, scoring 3-runs, pushing the lead to 9-0. The Merchants tried to rally, collecting 4-hits in the bottom of the 1st, scoring a pair of runs. The Renegades put the game away with 3 more runs in the 2nd inning and lead 12-2 before the Merchants had batted a second time. The Merchants out hit the Renegades 7-3 but only walked twice to ten walks for Jefferson City.
Bryce Hoskinson paced the Merchants with a pair of hits, including a double with a RBI and scored a run. Xavier Lerma drove in a pair of run and Sammy Harris had base hit and scored a run.

Unlike game one, the Merchants held Jefferson City in-check until late as the Renegades scored 5-runs in the top 7th to pull away in a tight game. Carroll scored in the bottom of the 5th when Logan Harris grounded out to score Jake McClure, pulling them within 2-1. Jefferson City scored a pair of runs in the 2nd and lead 2-0 going into the 5th. The game remained 2-1 until the 7th when Jefferson City scored 5-runs on 3 hits and were helped by 3 Merchants errors. Carroll picked up a base hit in the bottom 7th but left 2-runners on base when the game ended. The Merchants out hit the Renegades for the second time on the night, 6-4 but dropped both ends of the doubleheader.
Jake McClure went 4-4 with a triple and a run scored and Logan Harris and Parker Hansen both had a hit with Harris adding an RBI. Billy Robertson pitched 6 innings, allowing 1 hit and no earned runs with 6 strikeouts.
The Merchants fall to 3-7-1 and will host Warren County on Sunday at 4:00.
