Jackson Gross hit a 2-run home run in the 1st inning as Carroll scored early in picking up a 4 inning win over Glidden Ralston. The Tigers were able to score in each inning with Ryan North having a 2-run single to help them score 8-runs and lead 11-0 going to the 3rd. Stone Sibenaller was strong on the hill, allowing 1 hit in 3 innings of work with 4 strikeouts. Linkin Weitl added a 2-run double in the 3rd and Landon Petersen picked up a RBI single in the 4th as Carroll had a clutch hit each inning. Glidden Ralston collected 3-hits in the game with three different players having a hit. Carroll finished with 14 hits and had 16 RBI.

Ryan North finished 3-3 with a double, 3 RBI and scored 3 times. Carter Essick, Landon Petersen and Jackson Gross all had 2 hits with Gross hitting a 2-run home run, finishing with 3 RBI and 3 RS. Essick doubled, driving in 2-runs and Petersen had a pair of RBI and scored twice. Linkin Weitl finished with a team high 4 RBI and Carson Tedrow scored 3-runs.

Mark Lensch, Collin Sturm and Daniel Thooft all had a hit for Glidden Ralston.

The Tigers improve to  2-5 overall and will travel to Ballard on Thursday. Glidden Ralston fell to 1-7 and is off until Friday when they host Boyer Valley.

St Albert At Kuemper- Varsity Doubleheader

Evan Loew hit a pair of home runs, the first in the 3rd inning and the final one in the 5th inning helping Kuemper score 7-runs in the bottom of the 5th to end the game with an 11-1 win. Loew helped the Knights collect 10 hits while holding St Albert to 4 hits. The offense clicked early, scoring 3-runs in the 1st inning with Josh Langel and Tristan Janson picking up RBI and Benicio Lujano doubling. St Albert scored in the 2nd inning but Evan Loew hit a solo home run in the 3rd putting the Knights up 4-1. Ethan Loew singled to start the 5th, igniting the Knights offense. Evan Loew followed with a 2-run home run and the Knights scored the first-five players that came to the plate. John Boes drove in a pair of runs with 1-out and Carter Putney tripled to score 2 more runs. He scored moments later on a passed ball to end the game at 11-1.

Evan Loew homered twice, finishing with 3 RBI and 3-runs scored. Tristan Janson had 3 hits with an RBI and scored a run. Carter Putney had a triple, driving in 2-runs and scoring a run. Benicio Lujano had a double and a run scored and John Boes drove in a pair of runs. Ethan Loew went all 5 innings, picking up the win with 1 earned runs on 4 hits.

Kuemper’s bats came alive late in the game but their rally fell short, falling by a run to split the doubleheader. The Knights scored 5-runs in the bottom of the 7th and scored all 11-runs over the final 3 innings. St Albert scored 3-runs in the 3rd inning and 2 more in the 4th inning. Kuemper used a St Albert error on a ball from Aaron McDermott to start their rally in the 5th inning. John Boes followed the miscue with a base hit and both scored on a single by Evan Loew. The Falcons answered with a 5-run 6th inning and looked to be in control. Kuemper responded in the bottom of the 6th. A hit-by-pitch and two straight walks to load the bases helped Kuemper get rolling. John Boes and Carter Putney both singled driving in a run and Benicio Lujano reached on a fielders choice but drove in a run. Evan Loew added an RBI single and the Knights trailed 4-runs, pulling within 10-6. St Albert took advantage of a pair of walks and a hit-by-pitch helped St Albert score twice in the 7th. Tristan Janson had a nice doubleheader started the Knights rally in the 7th with a single. Aaron McDermott doubled and John Boes reached on an error. Three walks and a hit-by-pitch allowed Kuemper to continue their rally and Janson singled again to score their final run as the tying run was thrown out at the plate.

Evan Loew, Tristan Janson and John Boes all had 2 hits with Evan Loew finishing with 4 RBI, Boes scored 3-runs and Janson had an RBI and scored a run. Aaron McDermott doubled and scored 3 runs.

The split moves Kuemper to 4-8 overall. The Knights host Denison Schleswig on Thursday on KIKD 106.7.

Audubon At IKM-Manning

The teams combined for three home runs with IKM-Manning taking advantage of 12 walks and 9 errors to pull away late for the 6 inning win. The game was tight going into the bottom of the 5th with the Wolves up 6-4. IKM-Manning had scored in each of the first-four innings but blew things open in the 5th, scoring 6-runs on 3 hits, buoyed by 5 Wheelers errors. Their lead pushed to 12-4 heading to the 6th. They used two Audubon errors in the 6th and Bryc Summerfield hit a shot to right field, scoring Lane Sams from 3rd to end the game.

IKM-Manning scored a run in the 1st and Audubon responded in the top of the 2nd inning, tying the game at 1. Tristan Barry scored from 2nd base on a pickoff move in the 2nd inning that got into centerfield. They led 2-1 after 2 innings but the Wheelers showed some grit in the top of the 3rd as Carson Wessel singled and scored on an Adam Obrecht single. The Wheelers had some momentum but that ended when Jace Starman took an 0-1 pitch and drove it over the left field fence. Ross Kusel sat the Wheelers down in order in the 4th, getting his team back to the plate quickly. Lane Sams extended the Wolves lead to 6-2 with a 2-run blast to left field in the bottom 4th. Audubon rallied again in the top of the 5th. Colton Hansen cranked the first pitch he saw deep over the centerfield fence and Audubon trailed 6-4 going to the bottom of the 5th. IKM-Manning collected 3 hits in the 5th and Audubon struggled to throw the ball, having 5 errors in the inning and IKM-Manning scored 6-runs to lead 12-4. The Wolves ended it in the 6th as Audubon made 2 more errors allowing the winning run to move to d3rd base. Bryc Summerfield came to the plate and drove a pitch to right field, scoring Lane Sams to end the game.

Bryc Summerfield went 4-4 in the game with a pair of RBI and scoring a run. Lane Sams and Jace Starman both homered and had 2 RBI. Sams scored 5 times and Starman walked 3 times. Ross Kusel earned the win, going 6 innings, allowing 4 earned runs, striking out 7. Kusel added a double and scored 3 times. Tristan Barry scored a pair of runs.

Colten Hansen hit a 2-run home run for Audubon and Carson Wessel scored twice. Brody Schultes, Aaron Olsen, Carson Wessel, Adam Obrecht and Jack Stanerson all had a hit for the Wheelers.

The Wolves improved to 5-4 and will host AHSTW on Thursday. Audubon fell to 0-9-1 and host Tri Center on Thursday.

CAM at Ar-We-Va

The Ar-We-Va Rockets fall at home Tuesday to CAM. The game started back and forth. The Rockets picked up the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning when Wyatt Ragaller scored on an error. CAM responded in the top of the second with a pair of runs to take a 2-1 lead. Ar-We-Va struggled defensively in the loss. As a team, the Rockets committed 12 errors. Ar-We-Va also gave up free passes, walking seven batters and hitting five. The CAM lead would continue to grow over the next couple of innings and would lead 17-2 going to the sixth. Ar-We-Va did not go out without a fight, as they were able to load the bases and score two runs in the sixth before falling 17-4. 

The Rockets hit the ball well, picking up five hits as a team. Wyatt Ragaller went 2-3 at the plate with a double and two RBIs. Wade Ragaller, Devon Ehlers, and Joey Jackson recorded the other hits for the Rockets. With the loss, Ar-We-Va falls to 0-3. They are back in action Wednesday against Coon Rapids-Bayard.
