The IKM-Manning Wolves pick up an exciting win at home against Missouri Valley on Tuesday. Missouri Valley struck first as they plated a run in the top of the first inning, taking an early 1-0 lead. IKM-Manning responded in the home half, scoring three runs to take the lead 3-1. The Wolves would extend their lead in the bottom of the second, plating one run to make the score 4-1. Missouri Valley would cut into the lead by scoring two runs in the top of the third inning to make 4-3. Both teams kept trading runs as IKM-Manning would extend their lead again by adding another run in the bottom of the fourth. The Wolves would take a 5-3 lead going to the fifth inning. Missouri Valley would go scoreless in the top of the fifth, and IKM-Manning responded with two runs in the home half as their lead would continue to grow to 7-3. Missouri Valley would tie the game up at 7-7, going to the bottom of the seventh. In the home half of the seventh, Ross Kusel doubled to start the inning. After a couple of outs, Lane Sams walked, putting runners on the corners. Bryc Summerfield recorded a base hit for the Wolves in the next at-bat, scoring the winning run. IKM-Manning would go on to win 8-7 over Missouri Valley.

Bryc Summerfield went six innings on the mound for the Wolves, striking out five. Ross Kusel went 3-4 at the plate with two doubles and an RBI. Kasche Huehn went 2-4 with a couple of stolen bases for the Wolves. As a team, IKM-Manning recorded nine hits. Jace Starman went 1-2 with a three-run homerun. With the win, IKM-Manning improved to 3-2. The Wolves are back in action on Thursday against Riverside.

The Audubon Wheelers lost at home Tuesday to number one Underwood in five innings. The Eagles scored the game’s first runs in the top of the first inning, plating two runs and taking a 2-0 lead. Underwood would extend their lead in the top of the second, plating four more runs to make it 6-0. The Wheelers would respond in the home half, plating four runs to make it 6-4. Both teams went scoreless in the third inning. Underwood added five runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth. Audubon would go on to lose 16-4 on Tuesday. The Wheelers recorded four hits as a team, with one going for extra bases. Aaron Olsen went 1-1 with an RBI. Colton Hanson was 1-3 with a double. Brody Schultes and Evan Alt also recorded a hit and an RBI. With the loss, Audubon falls to 0-6. The Wheelers are back in action on Thursday against Coon Rapids-Bayard.
