Girls Golf Results for Thursday, May 23rd

Class 1A at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown

Addy Boell of Glidden-Ralston was the lone area competitor in 1A at Thursday’s state girls’ golf meet. Boell was consistent Thursday, shooting a 50 on the front and back nine. She finished with only two pars during her round. The pars came on holes three and nine. Boell will be back in action tomorrow for day two of the state tournament.

Class 2A at Cedar Pointe Golf Course at Boone

The Kuemper girls’ golf team qualified for the class 2A state golf meet, which is held in Boone on Thursday and Friday at Cedar Pointe Golf Course. As a team, Kuemper is currently sitting in tenth place with a score of 396. Addy Beiter had the lowest score for the Knights at the conclusion of the first day. Beiter is sitting in 22nd with a day one score of 89. Elsa Tiefenthaler finished 40th after 18 holes with a score of 95. Giada Lujano and Ella Pick are both tied for 62nd with a 106 after the first round. Rounding out the Kuemper golfers, Grace Tigges golfed a 120, which puts her in 72nd place.
