Boys State Tennis Results Thursday, May 23rd
Mason Reicks of Kuemper finishes 8th at the State Singles Tennis Meet on Thursday in Waterloo. Reicks lost both of his matches on day but played well. He faces Ruimin Luo of Fairfield in the consolation semi’s in the morning, battling but falling in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. He moved into the 7th place match in the afternoon against Parker Stroh of Waterloo Columbus. Reicks dropped the 1st set 6-2 but battled back to win a marathon 2nd set 7-6 (7-5). Stroh took charge in the 3rd set, winning 10-1.
Reicks went 2-3 in matches at the state tournament, going 2-1 on Wednesday, advancing him to Thursday medal round.
