East Sac had the wind in their face in the 1st half and Heelan was able to take advantage, keeping the pressure on the Raiders while building a 4-0 lead at half. The Raiders played much better in the 2nd half, limiting the number of shots for Heelan. The Raiders had some chances in the 2nd half including a couple breakaways but weren’t able to score as Heelan quickness flustered East Sac.
The Crusaders struck first, scoring on a PK with 27:16 left in the half. They struck again around 0:20 later and led 2-0. A pair of goals around the 19:00 mark gave them a 4-o lead they would take to half. East Sac competed better in the 2nd half but Heelan extended the lead to 5-0 around 30:00 left, then scored two quick goals at 17:20 and 15:08 to put the game out of reach.
Denae Thayer finished the night with 18 saves for East Sac with Hannah Pudenz leading them with 3 shots on goal and Chloe Bieret having their other shot on goal.
The Raiders finish the season 8-6.
