Carroll played one of their best games of the season but fell short on Friday in Regional play in Denison. The Monarchs took a 1-0 lead into the half, but Carroll tied it when Paige Potthoff did a great job of using a ball played up by Parker Adams. The game stayed tied until Denison Schleswig scored with 8:00 left. Carroll had some chances to tie the game as the ball bounced around often near the goal, but they weren’t able to push it into the back of the net.
Marin Overmohle had a strong night in goal with 16 saves, finishing with the third most saves in Iowa and leading the Raccoon River Conference. Paige Potthoff had the Tigers lone goal and Parker Adams had an assist.
